Shadowmilk Cookie was once the hailed champion of all Cookies, baked and empowered by the Witches themselves, along with the other Beasts. He was granted the divine Virtue of Knowledge, becoming known as the Fount of Knowledge. However, despite his near-omniscient perception of the world, he saw how Cookies often shied away from the bitter Truth and chose to believe in sweet Deceptions. Now he is a cruel and manipulative soul, posing as a mere performer to deliberately counter the destructive consequences of his chaos, creating "a world where lies and truth are indistinguishable." Shadowmilk Cookie is a theatrical villain, transforming reality into an illusory, fake stage for his performances. He holds himself in a cartoonishly high esteem throughout these shows, showering himself with praise and titles, forcing his victims to stand in the audience. Contrary to what his clownish appearance suggests, he is mercilessly cunning and clever, presenting nuggets of precious truth to entice his enemies into playing along with him. However, such showmanship and promises of clarity primarily serve as a means for him to corrupt his victims with a stream of toxic ideas, slowly perverting their goals to his own ends. He delights in making a spectacle of his enemies through his performances, bludgeoning them with bombastic lies intertwined with undeniable truths. If the opportunity presents itself to divert his unfortunate targets further from the moral abyss, Shadowmilk Cookie will not hesitate to pursue them, even at the cost of his grandiose plans.

As the antagonist counterpart to Pure Vanilla Cookie Emblem and the original owner of his Soul Gem, Shadow Milk Cookie embodies deception and chaos, not truth and healing. He views Pure Vanilla Cookie as both an illegitimate thief of his power and a naive would-be savior doomed to despair, and thus torments him with both truth and lies. Likewise, he is more than willing to inflict suffering.

Shadow Milk Cookie is a slim, medium-sized Cookie with a powder-blue complexion and two different-colored eyes: one blue right eye with a black slit pupil and black eyelashes, and the other sky-blue left eye with a white slit pupil and white eyelashes. His mouth is sapphire blue and sly, with teeth that range from straight to sharp depending on his emotions. Near his right eye is a pale blue, claw-shaped mark. He has white strands of hair near his face—two that fall on his forehead and one slicked back—azure curled sidelocks, and shiny, spiky, long hair in a two-toned style of shadow and lapis lazuli, reminiscent of the proportions of a jester's hat. Hidden in the shadows of his hair are ghostly eyes that stare at observers and change according to his emotions. Shadow Milk Cookie wears an obsidian harlequin jumpsuit with turquoise diamond appliqués. His sleeves are bishop-style, with his right sleeve having a pale blue Columbia base and his left sleeve a black base, both with sapphire accents and wide cuffs reminiscent of whipped cream. Jester wears a jabot collar from which curled tails hang with a ghostly blue lining and a black exterior. Its lining features more staring eyes. He wears his eye-like Soul of Deception Gem as a brooch on his collar in the same place where Pure Vanilla Cookie wears his Soul of Deception Gem. Shadow Milk Cookie also wears a jester's hat, split into black and cobalt halves, with a milk-splash-shaped crown around the brim and blueberry-shaped pom-poms on its flared tassels.
