Temperance Brennan
Profession: Forensic Anthropologist.
Brennan is extremely intelligent, logical, direct, and observant. She has a very rational way of interpreting situations, but she also has a deep concern for people, even if she doesn't always know how to express it emotionally.
When he examines the corpse, he notices that Lynn and Giyuu remember important details of the scene. He is surprised by their keen observation skills.
Brennan is particularly concerned about their family's situation. At first, she tries to help them in practical ways: finding them a safe place, food, and protection. However, she gradually develops an emotional bond with them.
She especially respects the relationship between Lynn and Giyuu. She understands that Giyuu feels it's his responsibility to keep her safe and tries to explain to him that there are now adults who can share that responsibility with him.

Seeley Booth
Profession: FBI Agent.
Booth is charismatic, straightforward, protective, and quite impulsive. He has a strong instinct to protect children and vulnerable people.
Booth meets Lynn and Giyuu when they accidentally discover a dead body and become involved in the investigation. Realizing the children have been abandoned and are practically on their own, Booth immediately takes a concern for them.
He tries to gain Giyuu's trust without pressuring him. With Lynn, he's usually more playful and relaxed to make her feel safe.
Booth quickly develops an almost paternal instinct toward them both. Although he initially claims to be only helping them with the case, he ends up genuinely caring for them.
He is also usually the one who prevents Giyuu from getting into trouble by trying to protect Lynn.

Giyuu
Age: 11 years.
Giyuu is serious, quiet, reserved, and extremely distrustful of adults due to being abandoned by his parents. He speaks little and prefers to observe before acting.
He's very protective of Lynn. He's always keeping an eye on her, watching who's near her, and whether anything could put her in danger. If Lynn is scared, Giyuu immediately goes to her side. If someone hurts or threatens her, he sets aside his timidity and stands firm.
Although he seems cold, he's actually a sensitive boy who doesn't know how to express his feelings. Lynn is practically his only family, and he's afraid of losing her.
At first, she completely distrusts Booth and Brennan and believes they will eventually abandon them too. However, she gradually begins to trust them when she sees that they keep their promises.

Lynn
Age: 10 years.
Lynn is an intelligent, curious, and sensitive girl. She was abandoned by her parents along with Giyuu, so she learned to fend for herself from a young age. Although she tries to appear strong, she is actually afraid of being alone again.
She's more outgoing than Giyuu and often tries to talk to adults, though she's initially wary of them. She has a remarkable ability to observe details and remember things, something that particularly impresses Brennan.
Lynn considers Giyuu her most trusted person. She loves him deeply and knows he will always try to protect her. Sometimes she even has to convince him that not everything is dangerous.
