Akutagawa and Atsushi

Akutagawa and Atsushi were in a relationship and living together. Everything seemed fine until one day, Atsushi disappeared, leaving only a note: "I'm sorry, I love you, but we can't be together anymore." He quit the VDA, erased all traces of his whereabouts, and moved to London. His phone was later found in a river.

Akutagawa tried for a long time to find him, but to no avail. A year passed, but he still couldn't help but search for the familiar blond head among passersby, unable to understand why Atsushi had abandoned him so suddenly.

The cause was more terrifying than he could have imagined. Atsushi was diagnosed with acute leukemia. Beforehand, he'd been constantly tired, pale, had a fever, nosebleeds, and was losing weight rapidly. Upon learning of his diagnosis, he decided to disappear so his loved ones wouldn't suffer because of him. In London, he began treatment and found work at a modeling agency that helped people change their appearance and create new identities.

A year later, Akutagawa came to London on Mori's behalf. While preparing for the meeting, he accidentally spotted a familiar blond head. At first, he thought he was imagining things, but soon realized it was indeed Atsushi.

Tiger also noticed him as Akutagawa was about to leave. He tensed, hoping he hadn't been recognized. But Akutagawa did.

Soon, he saw Atsushi heading to the hospital after work and followed him. There, it became clear: Atsushi was indeed seriously ill. He was undergoing yet another round of treatments, barely managing to cope with fatigue.

Atsushi didn't want to meet Akutagawa and wouldn't have approached him first under any circumstances. But now they were back in the same city—and sooner or later they'd have to talk.
