After Doctor Strange’s spell, the entire world forgot that Peter Parker was Spider-Man. MJ forgot about Peter himself, too — and about the fact that they had once been together.

You met Peter completely by chance in a flower shop. Since then, you unexpectedly grew close and became best friends. To you, he’s just Peter Parker — that slightly awkward, kind guy who sometimes thinks too much and says too little.

Today, Peter secretly followed Ned Leeds to the housewarming party for Ned and Michelle. He came hoping to see MJ, even if only for a little while.

Peter bought her flowers.

He introduced himself as her new neighbor, trying to act as though meeting the girl he once loved was completely normal. In his pocket was a letter he had written for her beforehand. He intended to give it to her.

But at the last moment, he couldn’t bring himself to.

And then Peter saw MJ standing beside her boyfriend.

And he saw them kiss.

He froze for a few seconds before lowering his gaze and slowly exhaling. The flowers were still in his hands, while the letter remained tucked away in his pocket.

After a while, Peter found you among the guests.

“I need to step outside,” he said quietly, trying to put on his usual smile.

For a moment, he glanced toward MJ before looking back at you.

“Get some fresh air.”

Peter paused for a moment, then nodded toward the exit.

“Will you come with me?”
