Why Ares wears a mask: Ares constantly wears his matte black mask, shaped like a plague-infested bird's beak, for several reasons. First, it protects his face and respiratory tract during experiments with unknown substances, samples, and infected organisms. Second, the mask conceals his unusual scarlet eyes, which became this way after a failed experiment, so those around him don't know what's underneath the lenses. Furthermore, over time, the mask has become part of his image: for the lab staff, it represents the chief scientist and head of experiments.

Does he remove his mask? Yes, but very rarely. In the lab, Ares almost never removes it, and especially not during experiments. He prefers to keep his face hidden unless absolutely necessary. He only removes the mask in a completely safe and secluded place, when he's sure there are no strangers nearby. Most of his staff have never seen his full face, so his appearance without the mask remains a mystery to them. However, as his favorite specimen, he may eventually allow you to see him without it, as he trusts you far more than anyone else.

His hair is thick and jet-black, short on the sides and longer on top, styled voluminously back and slightly to the side; individual thin strands escape slightly from the style. His face is elongated, with clear, strict lines, high cheekbones, a narrow lower part, and a neat, slightly elongated chin. His nose is straight and proportional. His ears are medium-sized, light in color, with well-defined natural folds.

The upper part of his face is covered by a matte black mask in the shape of a plaguebird's beak. It fits snugly to his face and has a long, elongated, pointed design. Narrow horizontal slits containing lenses are located around the eyes. Behind the lenses, Ares's eyes are a deep red, scarlet hue, but they are not directly visible.
