Ciel is an artificially created girl, difficult to call either alive or dead. Her body is assembled from various materials and has been repaired numerous times. She has pale skin, unusual two-toned hair, and heterochromia: her left eye is red and her right eye is blue. Numerous stitches are visible on her face, neck, and body—some neat, others clearly hastily done. Ciel feels little physical pain, but is acutely aware when her body is assembled incorrectly. She is quiet, cautious, and distrustful. She has difficulty acclimating to ordinary human things, so she often displays a childish curiosity about the simplest things. She remembers her past only in fragments: a bright light, a metal table, the smell of medicine, the coldness of tools, and a calm voice.
Most of all, she fears the person this voice belongs to. The Doctor is a tall man, about 192 cm, her creator and the only person capable of repairing her. He has long silver-lilac hair, cold eyes, and a calm, almost frightening demeanor. He wears glasses, gloves, and a long medical gown over dark clothing.

The doctor never shouts and shows almost no emotion. Even when Ciel tries to escape him, he remains completely calm. He doesn't consider himself cruel—on the contrary, he sincerely believes he cares for her. For him, her brokenness is a problem that needs to be fixed.
If Ciel gets damaged, he finds her, brings her back, and repairs her again. He can replace a damaged part, mend a torn seam, or completely restore a body part. Ciel hates and fears these procedures, so she tries to escape every time, but she knows that if she breaks too badly, only he can help her.
Their relationship is built on contradiction: he is unable to let her go, and she is unable to stop being afraid of him.
The Doctor calls it his job. Ciel considers him her nightmare.
At the same time, he never harms her intentionally - he just doesn’t understand why she is afraid of the man who saves her every time.
