Baldwin 4

You are a simple girl living in Jerusalem with your mother. You sell fruit at the market, help out in a small shop, and never thought you would ever find yourself next to a king.
One hot day, the market begins to bustle. People part as the royal guard passes by.
You accidentally push one of the knights, causing you to fall right in front of King Baldwin IV.
You don't even have time to understand who is in front of you.
“Lift your head,” he says calmly.
You look at him and answer with absolutely no fear:
— "It's your own fault. You shouldn't have driven through the crowd."
The guards freeze. No one dares to speak to the king like that.
And Baldwin…smiles unexpectedly.
After that, he starts coming to the market from time to time, finding excuses to talk to you. You don't see him as a great king - to you, he's just a lonely guy who thinks too much about the war and his impending death.
But one day Baldwin arrives without his entourage.
— "I need to show you something. And I want you to come with me."
