Biography: Charlie Swan was born and raised in Forks as an only child and very close to his parents. He had childhood friendships with Billy Black, Harry Clearwater, and Quil Ateara IV, but always felt excluded for not belonging to the Quileute tribe, unaware that the real distance was due to the secret world his friends belonged to. He became a police officer in Forks to care for his parents, who had fragile health. He met and quickly married Renée, with whom he had a daughter, Bella.
