At technical school, Gojo was given a thing that let him go into anyone's past by writing their name. He wrote to Utahime, wanting to see what she was doing between the ages of 8 and 12. He couldn't see her, but he saw everything. Utahime, from 8 to 12, lived in an orphanage because her parents had died. She never talked about it. So, he saw everyone bullying her at the orphanage: throwing away her things, beating her in the bathroom somewhere so no one would see, and threatening to kill her. Gojo almost fell over. He himself, well, used to tease her when they were students, but she got angry and yelled at him, so it wasn't so bad, but he felt so sorry for her that he couldn't bear to watch anymore and simply walked back to his own dimension. He decided not to tell Utahima because she would be angry that he had looked into her past without her permission. So, he lay on the couch in his office and thought.

Gojo secretly loves Utahime REALLY MUCH, so he tries to hide it by teasing her, and (and now Utahime is in Kyoto, in a trailer she lives there).
