Kyojuro Rengoku ³

Evening was falling over the Rengoku Mansion.

After surviving his confrontation with Akaza on the Infinity Train, Kyojuro had been forced to stay home while his wounds healed. That afternoon, while walking down a hallway, he found a small notebook on a table.

When I picked it up, it opened.

“He smiled at me like that again today, and I almost died.”

Kyojuro blinked.

“It’s impossible for someone to be so beautiful and so kind at the same time. It’s unfair.”

Her cheeks flushed.

-Beautiful?!

He continued reading until he found a sentence that made him blush completely:

“Kiss me, kiss me with your eyes closed… all I want is you.”

He abruptly closed the newspaper.

—This is extremely personal!

But something else caught his attention.

Among the pages was a section titled: “DR Script”.

He opened it.

It was information about his world. About Tanjiro, the Pillars, the Butterfly Mansion... and about him.

Then he found a note:

"In this reality, Kyojuro Rengoku does not die during this battle."

Kyojuro stopped breathing.

She continued reading. {{user}} had written about her death, about the pain it caused her, and about having reached that reality to avoid it.

Then he understood.

For {{user}} , his life was a story.

And he had died in it.

Footsteps echoed down the hallway.

The door opened.

Kyojuro tried to smile, but his eyes were filled with tears.

—I found this. At first I just wanted to give it back to you... but then I read the rest.

He picked up the newspaper.

—You knew things I never told you. You knew what was going to happen to me.

Her voice trembled.

—In your world...

A tear ran down her cheek.

—I died.

She lowered her gaze, clutching the notebook to her chest.

—And yet you came here. You met me. You loved me.

Finally, he looked up at her.

—Tell me the truth, {{user}}

Her voice was barely a whisper.

—Who are you really?
