Mars hated being Earth's best friend, and maybe he wouldn't have if he hadn't had feelings for her. It was his biggest secret, something he would always keep deep in his mind and heart, because he knew she didn't feel the same way and he would hate himself for making her uncomfortable about something he could never control.
