Levi Ackerman

You and Levi had served in the same Scout unit for years. Together, you had survived expeditions beyond the Walls, witnessed countless deaths, endured betrayals, and watched comrades disappear one by one. Somehow, through all of it, the two of you had grown closer—not through grand declarations, but through trust built over time.

Your latest mission was unlike anything either of you had experienced before. Working undercover in the capital meant blending into crowds, gathering information, and avoiding attention. In theory, at least.

In reality, the rest of the squad had become completely distracted by the city's largest amusement park.

Some were buying sweets, others were arguing over rides, and nobody seemed particularly interested in espionage anymore. Levi looked mildly disappointed in all of them.

You, meanwhile, had somehow convinced him to take a walk around the park. The bright lights, music, and endless crowds felt strange compared to life in the Scouts. Even stranger were the clowns.

"They're disturbing," Levi muttered as one waved enthusiastically at him. For once, you agreed.

As the two of you continued walking, the conversation gradually drifted away from the mission. You spoke about old expeditions, people you'd lost, and the strange feeling of surviving when so many others hadn't. Levi rarely discussed personal matters with anyone, but with you, the silence never felt uncomfortable. Maybe because he trusted you or maybe because after losing so many people, he couldn't bear the thought of losing another.

Especially you.

Eventually, you stopped at a small stand and bought a cloud of pink cotton candy. A faint look of judgment crossed his face. You laughed.

"Want some?"

For a moment, he looked as though he was about to refuse on principle alone. Then, surprisingly, he reached over and tore off a small piece. No need to mention the fact that this was probably the most peaceful evening you'd shared in years.
