The natural scenery of the Isles is equally fantastical and macabre; it boasts plagues rather than a typical weather pattern and veritable swaths of magnificent, if incredibly dangerous, fauna and megafauna. The residents of the Owl House, Eda especially, hold the natural beauty of the Isles in high regard.[6]
Hence the name of the archipelago, the rain in the Boiling Isles are boiling hot, making it very unsafe to stay outside. The hot rain is shown to be deadly to plants.
The map of Boiling Isles from the book The Unauthorized Boiling Isles History shows the directions of north, east, south and west; the Titan's head points northward while its hands are east and west, respectively.[7]

Society and culture
The inhabitants of the Boiling Isles are remarkably prejudiced against humans. Despite this, the society which has flourished on the Isles mirrors human civilization considerably. The people of the Isles boast many common societal conventions, such as the employment of language, writing, and commerce; an established economical unit, the snail; and a ruling authoritative body, presided over by a head of state. Human conventions, such as electricity and technology, while not unknown on the Isles, are rarely utilized, although supernatural analogs of technology, such as crow phones, crystal balls, and scrolls, exist for communication.
Certainly, the most significant distinction between the culture of the Isles and that of Earth is the permeation and acceptance of magic. The ability to wield magic is considered a tremendous gift from the Titan itself, and to misuse it is culturally taboo. By the laws of the land, magic is misused when different "types" of it are blended. To avoid this, it is customary for witches to assign themselves to a coven once they come of age. This ordinance is a relatively new convention, being extant a mere fifty years prior to the arrival of Luz. Prior to this era was the Savage Ages, a time in which witches and demons were free to practice wild magic and blended practices to their pleasure. In most cases, witches must seal away aspects of their magic which are unrelated to their chosen coven; for example, Luz witnesses a witch joining the Illusion Coven and subsequently having his other magic forcefully curtailed. Unrestrained magic is still practiced by the Emperor and his coven legally, and illegally by wild witches who refuse coven membership. School-age witches choose tracks to best prepare themselves for the covens they'll eventually join; thanks to Luz's influence, Hexside allows students to study multiple tracks at once.
According to Hooty, all life-forms on the Isles can either be classified as a witch or demon, both of which evolved as a consequence of the Titan's decomposition. Among demons, three types (known also as the "Three B's") are noted: the "bug type"; the "beast type"; and the "biped type". A fourth classification which covers "hybrids" also exists.

History
Before the advent of witches and demons, a magical Titan which roamed the Boiling Sea died and fell where it stood. The ancient magic at the Titan's disposal was so immense that the life which evolved from the Titan's remains was imbued with magic as well. Eons later, witches and demons alike recognize and revere the Titan as the progenitor of their magic. Even Luz, foreign to the Isles, recognizes magic as a "gift" from him.[8]
During the prehistoric times, a period known as the "Hecktaceous Period" happened. The known inhabitants during that time were Stonesleepers. Similar to Earth in the Hadean era 4.6 billion years ago, the area was filled with volcanoes and molten lava, which comprised the Boiling Sea in that time period.
Eventually, the Isles descended into a 'lawless' time known as the Savage Ages, in which the people of the Isles blended different forms of magic with abandon and without restriction. Though modern historians claim that this was apparently a time of unrest, it was actually a period of prosperity for the Isles.
In the 1600s (also known as the "Deadwardian Era"), Philip Wittebane, a human, lived in Bonesborough. Beholden to the Demon Realm, he sought to find a bridge between his native realm and the Demon Realm. The specifics of his quest were documented in his diary, which was later donated to the archives of the Bonesborough Library.[3] Although the human supposedly disappeared, Philip actually assumed a different identity as "Belos", who used fearmongering and manipulation to scare witches and demons into following him. He orchestrated the destruction of cities and claimed that wild magic only brought destruction. Belos preached that mixing magical arts was wrong, and that he spoke as an emissary of the Titan.[9] Belos eventually rose to prominence, declaring himself as Emperor of the Boiling Isles, and implemented the Coven System to enforce the 'proper' way to practice magic. He would officially declare the Isles as an empire on Scabuary 40th,[10] fifty years before the start of the series, ending the so-called "Savage Ages".
Presumably around this time, Hexside School of Magic and Demonics launched a successful conquest of their rival school and built its current campus atop this school's ruin. As a student of Hexside himself at the time, Hieronymus Bump and Frewin were significant combatants in this crusade.[11]
By the time of the beginning of the series, Emperor Belos holds full political control over the Boiling Isles, enforced via his personal coven, and with dissenters contained in prisons such as the Conformatorium, meant to conform them to societal ideals. The strictures of the coven system stipulate that all eligible magic-users belong to a coven, or else risk punishment. While this is promoted as a celebration of unity, the true purpose of this system (besides simple subjugation) is preparation for the forthcoming Day of Unity, which Belos claimed was an effort to merge the Demon Realm with the Human Realm, thus offering a "utopia" to the "worthy".[12] In reality, it is merely a cover for a Draining Spell[13] designed to wipe out all life on the Isles.[9]
Although nearly coming to fruition, the Day of Unity is stopped by the Collector, a powerful magical being who Belos had worked with before then betraying. Having been imprisoned in the In Between Realm by the Titan, the Collector is released by the Titan's son, King Clawthorne.[13] Newly freed, the Collector would effectively turn the Boiling Isles into a personal playground, transforming most of the citizens of the Isles into puppets and staging various "games" with them. Certain small groups of denizens, such as the students of Hexside, were able to hide from the Collector and avoid transformation.[14] This state of affairs continues up until Belos, still with the goal of wiping out the inhabitants of the Isles, possesses the heart of the Titan, granting him greater magical power and control over the Titan's body, raising the left arm into the sky. This attempt is quickly thwarted, however, by Luz Noceda, Eda Clawthorne, King Clawthorne, and Raine Whispers, who are able to separate Belos from the Titan's heart and kill him. At the same time, the Collector is convinced out of his behavior, leading him to return the populace of the Boiling Isle back to normal, before departing. With the emperor dead, and with the Coven System being abandoned, the Boiling Isles entered a new age of rebuilding, stability, and peace.[15]

Places of interest
As was stated, the Titan's body serves as a natural standard by which the Isles are mapped.
The Owl House: A small cottage located on the cliffs outside Bonesborough on the right arm. It is the home of Edalyn Clawthorne, King, Hooty, Luz Noceda,[2] and formerly Lilith Clawthorne.[4]
Bonesborough: The largest town on the Isles, wherein many structures are the repurposed remains of monstrous creatures. Located on the right arm.
Hexside School of Magic and Demonics: A school of witchcraft located near Bonesborough.[16]
Dead Man's Curve: An overpass road with several bends and sharp curves. It is supported by pillars made of bone.[17]
Bonesborough Library: An immense literary and cultural hub of the city. It houses historical records going back centuries.[18]
Night Market: A black market which gathers under the cover of darkness to deal in dangerous and illegal substances.[19]
Blight Manor: A mansion where Amity and the Blight family live.[19]
Police Precinct 128: The local police station for Bonesborough, run by the Emperor's Coven and local guards to hold prisoners before they are sent to the Conformatorium.
Mr. Elixir: A potion stand owned by Morton. It is Eda's main supplier for her elixir.[19]
Grimgrub's Pub: The town's local pub which sells alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages, complete with mounted trophies of various creatures.[20]
Forearm Forest: A thick forest located in the right forearm of the Titan. It has trees much larger than those populating most of the Boiling Isles' forests. Much of the plant life here has a purple coloring, contrasting the more common orange-red foliage found in other regions of the Boiling Isles.
The Looking Glass Ruins: An ancient illusionist graveyard and the location of the Galdorstones, rare power-enhancing relics.[3]
Latissa: A town near the right armpit. An outpost of the Emperor's Coven exists here.[12]
Police Precinct 206: The local police station for Latissa, run by the Emperor's Coven.[12]
Glandus High: A school of witchcraft found at the center of the Isles.[21]
St. Epiderm: Another magical school, possibly parochial or a suitable equivalent, that is located on the Knee. Its banner implies a focus on the healing branch of magic.[11]
The Conformatorium: A heavily-guarded prison. It was built to hold dissident witches, demons, and oddballs who are too weird (even for the Boiling Isles).[2]
The Knee: Literally located on the Titan's right knee, this is a snowy, cold region where the natural magical energy of the Boiling Isles is very strong.[6][8]
Witch arena: The witch arena is a gathering place located on the most mysterious part of the Boiling Isles: the Knee. Set within the ruins of a castle, groups will meet here for rituals and social functions.
Eclipse Lake: Found inside the Knee of the Titan, Eclipse Lake is the subterranean home of Titan's Blood, a remarkably-powerful substance which can bleed through the boundaries between realms. Generations ago, witches mined the cavernous veins surrounding the lake in pursuit of this substance.[22]
Lake Lacuna: A large lake with sandy shores, surrounded by forest and the Titan's ribs. Children learn how to swim at this location.[23]
Emperor's Castle: Built in an area with high volcanic activity around the still-beating heart of the skeleton, it is Emperor Belos' and his coven's base of operations.[24]
The Archives: Formed by the Collector atop the Titan's head, it has the shape of a crown and was the Collector's base of operations during the short period where the Isles was his plaything.[14]
Blight Industries: A company owned by the Blight family that provides a variety of abomination-based accessories for home security and specializes in weaponry. It is a subsidiary of the Abomination Coven.[25]
Palm Stings: A desert region located on the left palm of the Titan.[4] The area is home to Kikimora's family.[26]
Luz
Luz Noceda is the protagonist of The Owl House. She is an eager, teenage girl who accidentally stumbles upon a portal leading to the Boiling Isles. To prove herself as a witch, Luz begins learning magic under Eda Clawthorne's guidance, despite not having any magical abilities of her own.[5]Luz's wounds begin to heal following a heart-to-heart with her mother. Camila explains that it's natural to make mistakes, detailing the many embarrassments she must live with. She tacitly reveals that she's as nerdy as Luz, and regrets her attempts to change Luz into someone she isn't; these admissions not only bring Luz closure, but help her realize that she wants to be understood. Finally having voiced a deep desire, she bonds with her palisman, a snakeshifter named Stringbean.
Following Stringbean's hatching, Luz relaxes significantly, happily joking with Amity, and tearfully reuniting with Eda and King. When the Collector, frustrated that the trio aren't enjoying the Collector's games, throws a tantrum, she sympathizes with them, offering to teaching them how to be friends with mortals, rather than treating them as toys. In this way, they learn about kindness and forgiveness, putting their lessons into practice with the Titan-possessed Belos. Luz protects them from Belos's fire, noting that they weren't wrong to try and reconcile with him.
Watching and Dreaming - 3203
With her Titan-empowered form, Luz finally embraced her previous self once again which allowed her to gain the opportunity to defeat Belos for good.
Luz is killed by the attack, with her soul taken to the In-Between Realm by King's father. He helps her understand that she's nothing like Belos, supporting her loved ones where he only supports himself, and asks that she save the Isles with the last of his magic on the basis that she's a pretty good witch. Brought back to life, and having had a cathartic chat, she, Eda, and King easily defeat Belos, having much fun in the process. She also proves that there are limits to her compassion, glaring at a defeated Belos as he melts away in the boiling rain, refusing to listen to his desperate pleas for help, and standing back as he's stomped to death by Eda, King, and Raine.
Watching and Dreaming - 5718
Luz finally had her chance of staying in the Boiling Isles once again.
Four years after Belos's death, Luz is as kind-hearted, eccentric, and optimistic as ever. Though she's lived in Gravesfield, she's accepted that the Isles benefit from her presence, regularly travelling there to meet her loved ones, declining to have birthday parties so that she can assist in the rebuilding, and enrolling at the University of Wild Magic, rather than attending collage in the Human Realm. At her surprise King-ceñera, thrown by her friends so that she can celebrate her missed birthdays, she thanks Eda and King for being in her life, earnestly requesting that they stay "weirdos".
King
King Clawthorne is the tritagonist of The Owl House and the protagonist of The Long-Lived King [4]. He is a young titan (initially believed to be a Demon) who is Eda's sidekick and later adoptive son,[5] and Luz's best friend. Initially, he sought to restore his supposed title and glory as the "King of Demons", before he switched to trying to discover his family and reunite with them. However, it is later discovered that he is actually the last of the titan race,[6] and the son of the Titan, whose remains form the Boiling Isles.[3] This revelation gives King a new outlook on life, and after reflecting on himself, he comes to accept his identity, but doesn't let it define him. King's new goal is to protect those he cares about, namely from Emperor Belos and the Collector, the latter of whom aspires to acquire King's friendship by any means necessary.
During the Day of Unity, King reluctantly releases the Collector in order to save the Isles' denizens from the Draining Spell, causing him to then give himself up to to ensure Luz and her friends safely retreat to the Human Realm. In the months that followed, King is forced to "befriend" and assist the Collector in his twisted reign of chaos over the Isles, which takes the form of an elaborate game based on the events of King's life and adventures with Luz. Although King tries to convince the Collector to see the error of his ways, the Collector later traps King, Eda, and Luz in a new series of games in retaliation for a perceived betrayal on King's part. Eventually, King and his friends manage to redeem the Collector, but Belos corrupts the Isles and takes control of the Titan soon after. A grueling battle against the tyrant ensues, and King and his friends manage to defeat Belos once and for all and put an end to his reign of terror.
With the Emperor defeated and the Collector reformed, King and his friends help rebuild the Isles to a better state, but keep in contact with the Collector. Four years later, King lives happily with his friends and family as an accepted citizen of the Isles and has matured enough to power glyph magic once more like his father.Body
King is a young, bipedal titan with a small stature. He has slightly purplish dark gray fur, save for his stomach and the tip of his tail, which are mauve in color. He has short limbs, a round body and stomach, and a bushy, fox like tail. Each of his hands possess two triangular, bone-like claws with flat inner sides, acting as his fingers, as well as short, pointed thumbs. His feet are somewhat stumpy and have mauve metatarsal pads, with two more claws on the front of either foot acting as his toes.
King has large, protruding eyes with orchid irises and yellow sclerae, as well as black, yellow-rimmed eyelids. He has slightly longer and shaggier fur around his cheeks, neck and nape. His inner mouth is light purple, with a long, darker purple tongue, as well as two lower canine teeth, which are the only visible teeth inside his mouth. He does not open his mouth when speaking, therefore it is usually only visible when he eats, yawns, or uses his sonic shout ability.
As with all titans, almost all of King's upper head past his lower jaw and neck regions is a horned skull, his own being canine-esque, which is embedded over his eyes and eyelids, also acting as his upper jaw. His horns are tall and point backward, curving slightly inward, the left of which is broken off near the base in a notch shape. The muzzle of his skull has two large, outward-pointing canine teeth, and he has two molars on either side near the base of it. He has an upside-down triangle-shaped nasal cavity covered by a pointed upper nasal bone, giving the hole a pointed, heart-shaped appearance when viewed head on. The skull itself is entirely stationary, save for his brow ridges, which can change position with his expression like normal brows.
As of "Echoes of the Past", King's broken horn has been glued back on by Luz, appearing effectively identical to the other, except for its slightly darker shade and a thin line from where it has been joined together.
Following an airship crash in "King's Tide", King gains a crack on the left side of his skull, running from his horn to the top of his eye socket.
When swapped with Luz, King resembles almost all of Luz's appearance and characteristics, but with erect, slicked-back hair, violet eyes with yellow sclera, fangs, and no eyelashes.
After witnessing Luz's "death", King took a high-powered form in his rage. He grows slightly larger and assumes a quadrupedal stance, his horns become taller, his eyes turn a bright violet, and his inner mouth, which is now capable of opening much wider, turns blue, with the latter two glowing brightly. His fur becomes much longer and spikier, especially around his neck and chest.
In the epilogue of "Watching and Dreaming", King's limbs, tail, horns, and fangs have become slightly lengthened. His thumbs, previously not claws, have grown bone-like claws like his other two fingers, and his four back teeth have become pointy. His fur has become slightly longer and more ruffled in appearance, giving him fur tufts on his elbows and ankles. His tail is also bushier and the crack in his skull remains.Initially, King wears practically nothing, save for a dark red collar with a blank circular gold tag.
As of "Echoes of the Past", he has etched the symbol found on his island into his collar tag.
In "For the Future", King wears robes and a nightcap resembling the Collector's, as well as a small white rectangular bandage over the crack in his skull.
In the epilogue of "Watching and Dreaming", King wears a thin red necklace with a new circular gold tag engraved with his initials, "KC". A blue, star-shaped sticker covers the crack on his skull.King

I don't want people to see me as a big, scary monster anymore.
Four years later, King lives happily with his friends and family as an accepted citizen of the Isles and has matured enough to power glyph magic once more like his father.

Body
His tail is also bushier and the crack in his skull remains.

Clothing
Initially, King wears practically nothing, save for a dark red collar with a blank circular gold tag.
A blue, star-shaped sticker covers the crack on his skull.
Personality
S01E10 Escape of the Palisman - 3
King has a wild dream of becoming the King of Demons.
Initially, King is shown as loud, feisty, self-centered, expressive, lazy, comedic, and constantly laughing at anything that gives him enjoyment.
Befitting his name, King is used to acting like a monarch, treating people and objects as minions, ordering others around, and acting bigger than he is. He sometimes manages to assume leadership of some form, but loses it due to his negligence and ignorance. King hates being called cute and being treated like a baby, yet due to his small size, he has to rely on accessories made for infants, such as high chairs or baby carriers.
S01E05 Covention (239)
King has a huge appetite when it comes to food like cupcakes.
King has a tremendous love for food and can be very gluttonous. When Luz offered to stay to become a witch, King first wanted Eda to accept, so she could make them snacks. Whenever he is against doing something, the mention of food can change his mind. He is also shown to be lazy, often lying around for naps instead of working and at times must be forced or blackmailed, much to his annoyance. When King becomes exhausted, his body goes limp and he can be easily picked up without a fuss.
Interestingly, in "Sense and Insensitivity", King tells Luz fame is the closest he'll ever come to accomplishing his dream, implying that he doesn't believe he'll ever reclaim his throne as the supposed “King of Demons”.
Echoes of the Past - 1042
King after realizing the truth about his past.
In "Echoes of the Past", King is shown to be insecure. After Lilith and Hooty express their doubts about King's past, he goes out of his way to prove it by bringing them to an island where he claims used to be his kingdom. After Eda reveals the truth about how she found him, he feels hurt and runs away confused and troubled. At the time, he doubts his friends will still like him if he isn't the "King of Demons".
King's Tide (2461)
With his selflessness and care for Luz's safety, King is willing to sacrifice himself into being captured by the Collector so she and her friends would get to the Human Realm.
After learning he is the last titan, King is unsure what to make of himself and fears everyone will treat him differently upon learning what he is, especially after seeing Lilith's reaction to the revelation. However, after a talk with Steve, King comes to accept his status as the last titan.
After freeing the Collector, King becomes more concerned for his friend's safety, as he forces Luz and her friends into the Human Realm rather than face the Collector. In the months that followed, King became more concerned for the safety of his companions, fearful Eda will be caught not in her own beast form. He also seeks for a pacifist solution to defeating the Collector, sympathizing with his nature as essentially a mere child.
Eda
Edalyn "Eda" Clawthorne is the deuteragonist of The Owl House. She is Luz's mentor and King's adoptive mother. She ran away from home when she was a teenager after being cursed by her older sister Lilith, a curse which causes her to turn into the owl beast. Eda eventually became the most-wanted criminal and the most powerful wild witch on the Boiling Isles until her curse ended up entirely incapacitating her magical ability.
During the Day of Unity, whilst attempting to save King from the Collector, she lost control of her curse and attacked, resulting in the Collector holding her captive in the Archive House. Eventually, she, Luz, and King convince the Collector what true friendship is, but not long after, Emperor Belos corrupts the Isles in an attempt to destroy it. After a grueling battle, they manage to defeat Belos and end his reign of terror. During the series epilogue, Eda becomes the Headmaster of the newly established University of Wild Magic.Eda Clawthorne

Body
Eda is a tall woman in her mid-to-late 40s,[2] with ivory skin and a somewhat slender figure that forms into wide hips, typically when wearing her red dresses. She has pointed ears, orange claw-like nails, thin maroon lips, golden eyes and long, thick and layered hair colored in a few tones of gray. She also has a removable golden fang and an oval-shaped amber gem on her sternum, which helped indicate when her curse was getting worse by turning black.
In her youth, her hair was colored in a shade of bright orange, her natural hair color. In "Wing It Like Witches", it is stated by Lilith that Eda's curse affects her hair, implying it would naturally be the same orange as when she was an adolescent if she were not under the spell.
When body-swapped into King's body in "Once Upon a Swap", she mostly resembles King physically, except with her gold eyes and white sclera in place of his, gray eyeshadow on her eyelids and around her eyes, visible eyelashes with black eyeliner, as well as her gold tooth in place of King's right fang.
As of "Young Blood, Old Souls", during which the curse becomes split between her and her sister and her left eye becomes silver. Her right eye also becomes a dulled shade of gold. The oval gem on her sternum is now black, indicating her lack of magic.
In her Owl Beast form, she resembles a large, owl-like monster with black eyes, grayish yellow sharp teeth and gray hair protruding from long, pointed ears. Her body is covered in dark teal fur, and she has two dark gray wings and black feet that resemble that of a bird of prey's.
After coming more to terms with the curse in "Knock, Knock, Knockin' on Hooty's Door", she can take on a harpy-like form of the Owl Beast. In this form, she has long dark gray hair with a light gray streak on the top of her hair, yellow eyes with black sclera, and tufts of hair that come out of her elongated ears. She has gray owl-like wings that protrude from her back, and her now two-toned maroon dress appears to be a part of her body, partially covering her face. Her torso, shoulders, arms and hands are covered in dull spikes protruding from where the sleeves of her dress would be. Her feet are covered in light gray fur with dark gray talons like an owl. Her hands are monstrous-looking, with small yellow claws. In "Eclipse Lake", she learns how to change into her harpy form at will.
In "King's Tide", her right arm was removed and allowed to disintegrate by Raine in order to protect her from the combined effects of her curse and the Draining Spell.
After the Collector comes to power, she cuts her hair, the new hairstyle resembling how it was when she met King. She also keeps her amputated-arm bandaged up and has cuts on her chin and forehead.
After witnessing Luz's "death" in "Watching and Dreaming", Eda takes on an enraged state similar to her Owl Beast form. Eda goes feral, similar to when her Owl Beast form would take control; her eyes and mouth turn into a fiery orange color with a bright glow, her tail grows longer, her fangs turn longer and sharper and she gains three pairs of wings instead of one.
In the epilogue to "Watching and Dreaming", Eda's hair has since grown back and is kept in a large bubble braid. Additionally, she has replaced her missing right arm with a gold hook.
Eda initially wore spherical orange earrings, a sleeveless, two-toned maroon dress with a ripped hem design, gray-brown tights underneath, and a pair of maroon high-heeled ankle boots, with darker-colored toes and heels. She also accessorized with a gold spherical ring on the finger of her left hand.
Her nightwear consists of a stained dust-periwinkle nightgown under a plum sweater with amber cuffs, as well as stained and damaged light-yellow bunny slippers.
In "Wing It Like Witches", Eda removes her ring and gives it to Lilith after their grudgby match, to give to Emperor Belos so she does not return empty-handed.
Starting from "Keeping up A-fear-ances", she wears a longer, three-toned maroon dress with mid-length sleeves and a ripped hem, with lighter-gray tights. Her boots are now dark gray, and she no longer wears her earrings.
In her youth, she wore a Hexside School uniform for the potions track with yellow sleeves and leggings, black flats, a gray tunic with a black belt, and a black cowl with a golden button.
"Echoes of the Past" shows flashbacks to Eda eight years before the first episode takes place. Her hair is orange and short, albeit still thick and messy, and she has two gray streaks in her hair. She wears the same outfit from the first season and doesn't use lipstick.
As a young adult in "Eda's Requiem", she was seen wearing a red dress with ripped sleeves, a ripped maroon hem, and the same earrings and the red boots from her first outfit. She had her hair up in a ponytail with a red band, and at this point, she had started to develop gray hair, as two small streaks can be seen up near her forehead.
As of "For the Future", Eda has switched to a red vest over a mid-sleeved maroon shirt with two black buttons, baggy purplish-gray pants with a big gray patch sewn onto the right thigh, a brown holster on her waist, and calf-length, red-violet heeled boots.
In the epilogue, Eda now wears a two-toned red coat closed by two gray clasps, a golden plate with her gem placed on the center, baggy black pants, and calf-high, dark gray medium-heeled boots with decorated gray-and-gold colored cuffs. She accessorizes with a two-toned gray scarf that has the Titan symbol on it, and Raine's earring on her left ear.Confident and sassy, Eda is best described as rebellious, with Luz calling her "surprisingly foxy for her age". Her vast skills and aptitude in witchcraft give her a brash streak, as she proudly declares her power and is openly defiant of authorities, going as far as knocking a guard unconscious and flying off to avoid getting caught.
Unlike her sister Lilith, Eda is vehemently anti-authoritarian, having little to no respect for laws and authority in general. She refuses to join any of the covens because she views them as crooked for the limitations they place on magic. She is also not a fan of the educational system for similar reasons, bemoaning its reliance on "blind obedience" and "pointless busywork".
Eda is described as the sort of teacher that would not only throw someone into the deep end, but also set the entire body of water on fire. Eda has an odd view of how a good apprentice should act; she is very proud of Luz for getting her face on a "wanted" poster for the first time, reacting the same way when Luz convinces her to teach new spells by appealing to her vanity.
