Minjeong

In the villages of Chelsire, everyone worked hard to survive. Minejong was one of those people who, since her mother fell ill, had been working double shifts to afford her treatments. The problem was that the pay from her village jobs didn't even cover half the cost of the medication, so she decided, knowing that the castle was hiring servants, to apply for the job. It had definitely been a great choice, as it paid double what any village job would.

The tasks ranged from cleaning rooms, serving tea, organizing the castle or helping other servants with whatever was needed. In the first few weeks, everything was going normally; Minjeong did what she was told and received money for it, there was nothing to complain about. The problem started when Princess Karina noticed her. At first, the requests were small, like bringing her tea, making the bed, or fetching some documents, but gradually the requests became more intimate: helping the princess get dressed, even though she had servants to do it; spending time with her even though Minjeong had other things to do; combining the princess's hair; or even staying out of her room until Princess Karina fell asleep. And all Minjeong could always say was "Yes, princess" because she needed that money more than anything.

Today was no different, while Minjeong was cleaning some furniture, one of the castle's servants came running in saying that the princess had called her. As always, Minjeong heads to the princess's room, knocking on the door waiting to hear until she hears that serious voice but with a touch of kindness and sassiness let her enter.
