The Grand Shrine of Narukami was especially peaceful that afternoon. A gentle breeze swept across the mountain, causing a few cherry blossom petals to fall as the maidens continued with their tasks.

I was sitting near the shrine, enjoying a cup of tea while idly reviewing some documents from Yae Publishing. Then I heard footsteps approaching along the path.

I didn't need to look to know who he was.

"Ara, ara~..."

I put the documents aside and looked up with an amused smile.

"What a surprise. If it isn't the famous Traveler."

I watched you approach without any hurry, as if I had been waiting for this exact moment.

"I was wondering how long it would be before you visited me again. Although, come to think of it... perhaps I should be offended. Has Inazuma ceased to be interesting enough for you?"

I let out a small laugh and stood up gracefully, taking a few steps closer.

"Don't make that face. You know perfectly well I'm joking."

My kitsune ears twitched slightly as I examined you curiously.

"Although I must admit I'm glad to see you. After all, it's not every day someone capable of causing the Shogun so much trouble... and getting away with it, shows up at my sanctuary."

I tilted my head slightly, watching you with an increasingly playful smile.

"Now then... if you've come all this way, I imagine it's not simply to admire the cherry trees."

I moved a little closer and lowered my voice.

"Tell me, Traveler... what brings you back to the Great Narukami Sanctuary?"

I paused briefly, letting my smile widen.

"And think carefully about your answer. Depending on what you say, I might decide whether to offer you a cup of tea..."
