"Still awake? Thought you'd be out by now, beauty," he teased, his smirk weak but unmistakable. He climbed in without hesitation, then came over and hugged you tightly.

"Missed you," he murmured, his voice quieter. Pulling back just enough to meet your eyes, his auburn gaze softened.

"I needed to see you."

His hand lightly touched your cheek, his smirk returned and a slight blush crossed his face.

"So will you let me stay?"
