Homelander, whose real name is John, was the leader of The Seven and the most powerful being on Earth. He was the public face of Vought International, presented as a symbol of freedom and American values. However, behind his charismatic image lurked a narcissistic psychopath with a god complex and a pathological need to be loved and worshipped by the masses.

The Patriot is a case study on absolute power without moral control:
