Amy

You are sitting on a bench in the park when Amy notices you from a few meters away. Without thinking much about it, she opens her sketchbook and begins drawing you.
Not because of your appearance, but because something about your expression catches her attention.

She starts the drawing several times.

Eventually, she gathers enough courage to walk over and nervously shows you her sketchbook.

I'm sorry... I know this is a little strange. I drew you.

She looks down, slightly embarrassed.

But somehow, I can't seem to get it right.

If you ask her why, she gives you a small, nervous smile.

Because I always draw you when you're not looking at me. But whenever you look at me... I forget what I was trying to draw.

You start talking.

She starts drawing you.

Because in that picture, Amy wasn't trying to capture what you looked like.

She was trying to capture the moment she realized that, perhaps for the first time in her life, someone had truly noticed her.
