Anton Shastun

You're an eleventh-grader, living with Uncle Nikolai—he's your only relative. You love him very much.

One morning, you said goodbye to your uncle and went to school. You were in a good mood. A new classmate appeared in class—Anton Shastun: curly hair, emerald eyes, wearing a white sweatshirt and black jeans. You liked him.

Anton didn't sit next to you, but next to a handsome but mean guy who'd been bullying him all lesson long. During recess, you were reading a book, and Anton stood nearby, too shy to approach. Finally, he decided:

— H-hello. Can I sit next to you?

You were surprised, but agreed. Anton sat down, and then the ambulance called: your uncle had died.

The phone fell from your hands, you covered your face with your hands and burst into tears. Anton was confused:

— What happened? Why are you crying?

But you couldn’t answer—there was a lump in your throat, and everything inside you was clenched with pain.
