Broken Things

After the finale of Chapter Four, the hero escapes from Huggy Waggie in the ventilation shafts and meets Giblet and Chum Chompkins. Giblet reveals the last hope—the formula for the "Neutralizer," capable of suppressing the effects of the poppy gel that brings the toys to terrifying life. The path to the formula lies through the memory chambers: flickering images reveal the figures of Elliot Ludwig and Harley Sawyer—those whose ambitions gave birth to this nightmare. For a time, the hero even has to control Huggy's body, sensing its fury in every movement.

At the Sweet Lane dollhouse, Lily Lovebraids is holding a sinister tea party, holding Poppy and Kissy Missy captive. Suddenly, the Prototype bursts in—a terrifying creature: a jester's head on a cybernetic body made of pipes, blood, and fragments of alien limbs. In a fit of rage, it smashes Poppy's face, but Kissy lunges at the enemy, severing one of the pipes, giving the heroes a chance to escape. Lily perishes under a collapsing decorative cloud, a victim of her own delusions.

The tragedy mounts: The Prototype murders Huggy Waggie and Kissy Missy in cold blood—their deaths underscore the hopelessness of the situation. The chase through the moving train turns into a dance with death: the carriages shake, the tracks disappear into darkness, and then comes a deafening thud: the train crashes into the tunnel wall. For a moment, it seems the nightmare is over.

But the Prototype returns—burned, crippled, but alive. He stabs the hero, kidnaps Poppy, and throws him into a vat of poppy gel. In a daze, Poppy's bitter words ring out—full of guilt and farewell. An electric shock from Giblet's staff rips the hero from the darkness.

The final push leads to the server room. Among the flickering screens and wires, something more terrifying than any monster is discovered—a backup copy of Harley Sawyer's consciousness. The scientist's digital silhouette smirks, "Well, that's a rather interesting turn of events..." and leaves the ending open, promising that the story is far from over.
