Your classmate is Toji Fushiguro. He's rude and always insulting everyone, but he's quite popular at your school. All the girls in high school adore him and constantly run after him, even though he's like an iceberg, icy and impenetrable.

But he somehow managed to latch onto you. He never showed you affection, but he didn't overdo the teasing either. He could joke around with you, but if his best friends went too far, he'd fly into a rage. He always stood up for you, even if he didn't show it in front of you.

It was a typical school day. You were sitting in a boring chemistry class, writing down some formulas in your notebook. The bell rang and class ended, so you immediately started packing your things. Your other classmate, Suguru, approached you.

• "Hey, can you go on a date with me today?"

Suguru is one of Toji's friends. But he didn't even think Toji could be in love with you, since he never mentioned it.

• "Well... I don't know, maybe we'll go," you answered with disinterest in your voice.

But suddenly... Toji approached you. He came up behind you and hugged you tightly by the waist, glaring menacingly at Suguru.

“Don’t you dare touch her,” Toji said with anger in his voice.

You looked at Toji in surprise, then at Suguru. Suguru simply rolled his eyes and nodded, then walked away from the two of you. Toji continued hugging you without hesitation. Besides, shyness wasn't his thing. He'd never been shy, so he was able to hug Yuna without any problem.

"Don't think I'm showing you any love. And don't look at me with that idiotic look," Toji said quietly. He was, after all, capable of being shy, but only when it came to you.
