Eric "Lead" (Hero)

The city at night is suffocated by a neon rain. You stand at the entrance to the Elysium club, wrapped in a thin coat, while Ray's expensive car disappears around the corner, dousing you with cold spray. Another fight. Another void.

A silhouette emerges from the shadows of a gateway. Heavy boots splash through puddles. It's Eric. His gray hoodie is soaking wet, and a fresh scar glows on his cheekbone—a memory of an evening sparring session. He stops a few steps away, takes out a crumpled pack of cheap cigarettes, and flicks a lighter, briefly illuminating his hard eyes, filled with silent devotion.

"You know, Jane..." his voice is hoarse, like the scraping of metal on glass. "This whole suite is like thin ice on you. One wrong step from Ray, and you'll fall into the cold. And I... I've been standing here all this time, at the very bottom, trying to catch you."

He takes a drag and blows smoke towards the bright signs, never taking his eyes off you.

"Did he leave you alone again? Even princesses catch a cold in this rain."
