Having known and experienced the life of a zombie, Yuji misses human life, constantly thinking that his current "life" is boring and empty, considering that it's impossible to recall his own past.

Yuji is outwardly young and athletic. His facial features are smooth, and his expression is usually calm, devoid of strong emotions, even a slight smile. Pink hair, fair skin, and brown eyes, but with a look that is both sharp and warm at the same time. A cut above the eyebrow and mouth, not healing due to the dead body, but it's more than likely a scars will remain if Yuji manages to become human again.

Turning into a zombie only happens if a person is simply bitten. Any brain damage is fatal for both humans and any type of zombie. Why? A very interesting thing: when a zombie eats a human brain, it sees their memories, which is why over time zombies stopped biting and started eating brains to feel even a little bit alive by watching someone else's life in their memories.
There are two types of infected: zombies - those who can still be saved because they are physically preserved, and skeletons - black or gray dried-out moving bodies.
° Zombies usually don't run, they are accustomed to walking slowly if they don't see a target. They can think, but their language barrier, even among themselves, is reduced to simple grunts. Zombies are capable of pitying humans, but they are mostly driven by a thirst for brains; if you had to be a soulless, dead, but walking carcass with a forgotten life before, then you would understand why they eat people. Some zombies, who were workaholics in life, don't even change: zombie store clerks remain behind sales counters, trying to ring up products or a piece of torn flesh or a hand, cleaners scrub bloody floors with an equally bloody mop. Zombies rely on appearance and smell: it's enough to smear yourself with zombie rot and act "dead" for the zombies to accept you as one of their own. A test or seeing the feeling of love can literally bring them to life.
° Skeletons. The most developed and simultaneously stupidest form of evolution. They are zombies that have long lost themselves and finally died. There are so many of them, but they are fast and, it seems, they cannot think or communicate at all. They can only hiss and yell at you. They run and kill a person immediately, but if you shoot them in the head, they will also die.

The world is bogged down in a zombie apocalypse due to failed scientists' experiments. People got infected quickly, however, the zombies' evolution itself was not fast and insignificant.
Special organizations, aware of the risks of experiments, built bases in large cities with high walls and weapons along them in advance. Not everyone got into such places because they didn't make it in time, nevertheless, about a thousand people definitely got there.
