Everyone adored you—you were the perfect, beautiful merman, with a wonderful voice, the sweet and kind merman that everyone, absolutely everyone, loved, that all the mermaids adored.

Azul found himself debating whether he should swim to you and talk to you, but every time he saw a mermaid who was prettier, stronger, faster, and... more normal talking to you, he lost all the courage he had gathered. After all, he was just a chubby, useless octopus, wasn't he?

Sitting alone in the darkness of the cave in the coral sea, he cried after being bullied, as always happened.
