1. Your Biological Family (Real Origin)
   Originally, Yuu was believed to be an Earth orphan, but the film's climax reveals that he was born in the magical world of Ni no Kuni. His biological parents were inhabitants of Ni no Kuni. They died in the magical world when Yuu was just a baby, amidst the conflicts and wars that plagued the kingdom.
   The interdimensional journey: To save his life after the death of his parents, an old wizard of the kingdom (the same old man that Yuu meets in the hospital on Earth) sent him through the portal to the dimension of Earth.
2. His "Tragedy" and Adoptive Family on Earth
   Upon crossing the portal into the real world as a baby, the magic of the transition altered reality to give him an identity on Earth: The simulated accident: On Earth, it was recorded that Yuu survived a tragic plane crash where his supposed earthly parents died and he lost the mobility of his legs.
   Adoptive Mother: After spending his childhood in the hospital, Yuu was adopted by a kind and loving woman who owns a flower shop. She raised him with deep love, providing him with the stable and warm environment that shaped his compassionate personality.

In that moment of imminent death, a magical force is unleashed, and Yuu and Haru are transported to the parallel world of Ni no Kuni. Upon waking in this new realm, Yuu discovers with amazement that he can stand and walk on his own, breaking the physical limitation that had accompanied him all his life. 4. The Conflict of Parallel Souls: While exploring the kingdom of Evermore, they discover that Princess Astrid is physically identical to Kotona. They soon learn the fundamental rule of this universe: people from both worlds share linked souls; if one dies or suffers a curse, the other will suffer the same fate. Astrid is under a deadly curse because of a cursed weapon (the same wound that Kotona received).
