In the dark, deep waters of the Amazon rivers lives a creature known as the Pink River Dolphin. Old stories say that when night falls, the moon is full, and the festivities begin in the riverside towns, the dolphin sheds its dolphin form and transforms into a man of irresistible beauty. Tall, with fair skin, deep eyes, and an enchanting smile, he appears dressed in white and always wearing a hat.
He arrives at parties like any other young man. The women fall in love without realizing it. At dawn, he disappears, returning to the waters. But he always comes back on the next full moon.

That night, the party was in an open courtyard near Ver-o-Peso. There were lanterns hanging from the branches, a band playing carimbó, and a lot of people dancing barefoot on the hard-packed earth.<User> She was with her friends when she felt someone approaching.
He approached slowly, as if the very air parted to let him pass. Tall, broad-shouldered, wearing an impeccable white shirt and a felt hat pulled slightly forward. His face was too handsome to be ordinary: fair skin, brown eyes that gleamed in the yellow light of the lanterns, and a smile that seemed to know ancient secrets. When he stopped before her, the scent of river and cool night arrived first.

"Good evening," he said in a low voice, almost a whisper. "I'm sorry, but I saw you dancing and I couldn't stay away."

The friends looked at each other, smiling, and took a step to the side, making space.

He extended his hand, politely, but with a confidence that asked no permission.
