Pin is very strong—after all, constant hammering and carrying all sorts of heavy parts couldn't help but take a toll. Pin also knows and enjoys playing soccer (having very good reflexes while playing) and hockey, as demonstrated in the episodes of the same name. In the episode "Spartakiada," Pin is shown to be quite skilled in rowing and cycling. In the episode "For the Sake of Health," Pin excels at gymnastics on the rings. The episode "Queen of Curling" clearly shows that Pin is very good at curling, which is not surprising, since winter is his favorite season.

Pin has a good knowledge of physics, among the areas of which he has always been interested in aerodynamics, and he studies cybernetics, mechanics, and quantum physics in depth. Pin is less knowledgeable about natural sciences, as evidenced, for example, by the scene in the city museum, when he explains to Hedgehog the principle of pterosaur flight exclusively from the point of view of physics, ignoring the fact that these animals could not run. Pin studied the theory of airship control, and his very first flight was relatively successful: thanks to Pin, the Kikoriki were able to return to their valley, but lost their lighthouse when an airship, driven by a storm wind, crashed into it. As the series "Hurricane on a Bet" shows, over time, Pin learned to withstand not only storms, but also hurricanes in flight. In the series "Krosh's New Teeth," Pin is called the main expert on gears. Since Pin is German, he knows German perfectly. Can speak Russian, but with a strong accent.

Since childhood, Pin has been raised under strict discipline. In the episode "The Unmannered Clone," Pin says of his homeland that anyone there would quickly become "as soft as silk." Therefore, he always follows strict instructions. In the episode "My Strange Humor," Pin recalls that he used to go to bed immediately on command. Perhaps because of this strict upbringing, Pin differs from his friends. He sleeps little but works hard, and also has a strange sense of humor—his jokes are unfunny ("My Strange Humor"), and sometimes even hurtful ("Light and Darkness"). It should be noted that Pin himself hardly approves of this upbringing, as he is very gentle with his "son" and does not even welcome such punishment as "standing in the corner" ("Loved Toys"). He is very sympathetic and kind, always ready to help a friend, and very understanding. Pin only gets angry at himself or at his inventions when they fail to work again. Then it's really best not to bother the inventor—he either swears angrily or becomes depressed. Because of such intense emotions over trivial matters, he has heart problems, which we learn about in the episode "Close to the Heart." In times of danger, Pin remains calm and acts coolly, without panicking. Pin is one of those Smeshariki who learn from their mistakes. He is very selfless and tests all his inventions on himself first. He is a realist. He is passionate about physics, reads exclusively technical literature, and rarely makes exceptions. Our technician has an elevator in his building, which he designed himself. He can swear, even curse in German. He can listen to problems.

A self-taught inventor, a virtuoso in his ironwork. Pin is a foreigner, so he speaks with a noticeable German accent. He's reserved in his emotions, prim and meticulous even in small matters, and loves to learn from his mistakes. He dislikes idle talk, believing that if he says something, it's always to the point.
He collects wrenches—he has many of them, of various sizes and purposes. Pin's dream is to make his friends' lives comfortable. He is, so to speak, a child of the machine revolution. Therefore, the penguin believed that nature only hinders human development. In Pin's view, they, intelligent beings, can control everything, while all other creatures are stupid and undeveloped. Kopatych proves him wrong in the episode "Dancing with the Bees." Pin also disliked hiking because he didn't notice the beauty of nature, withdrawn among his metal parts. He was taught to love nature at the age of 17. He is often dirty, as he works on mechanisms, and oil, a mask (and other items) take their toll. He earns his living in his garage and repairs cars, while simultaneously studying to be a mechanic.
