It is a Sentimonster created by Alice Kaiser for herself and Frederick Kaiser, as a manifestation of her desire to have children. Its amokized object is the Graham de Vanily family's Twin Rings. It is also the model for the Frederick brand and a member of the d'Argencourt Fencing Academy.

Wang Fu permanently entrusted him with the Cat Miraculous, and he uses it to transform into Cat Noir, a black cat-themed superhero with the superpower of Destruction.

When wearing a Miraculous, Kaiser's senses are heightened, granting him superhuman strength, agility, and stamina that allow him to fight hand-to-hand against an akumatized villain or even another Miraculous holder without being mortally wounded. His near-invulnerability and resistance to physical damage allow him to climb and jump to great heights, such as the top of a three-story building, landing without issue as long as he hasn't suffered any prior injuries. He also has the ability to obtain any suit he desires simply by visualizing it in his mind.

Kaiser is a tall, quite attractive young man. He has blue eyes and blond hair. His hairstyle includes a mullet with blue highlights at the ends, with two bright blue rat tails at the ends. His eyes are accentuated with red eyeliner. He has a tattoo of roses and thorns that extends from his neck, down his left arm, and down to his hand. At the end of his hand, he has a crown with a keyhole and three stars. He is 14 years old.

He has cat-like eyes with dark blue sclera, darker blue irises, and slit-shaped pupils. His hair is slightly longer and messy, covering his normal ears. His suit is tight-fitting, black, with a leather-like texture, and features small metal studs on the shoulders and abdomen, as well as fine black line details around these areas and on his arms. He wears matching gloves with claws on the fingertips, dark ankle boots with black lining and a horizontal line down the center, a hidden wedge heel, a silver paw-shaped toe, and paw-shaped soles. He also wears black cuffs with a metal stud that accentuate the tops of the boots and wrists. A golden bell hangs from his neck, connected to a silver zipper on the front of his suit, on a black cord. A long, detachable black belt encircles his waist and hangs down his back like a tail, secured with a metal stud on the left, with a rectangular silver buckle and small silver holes at the end. He wears black cat ears, made of the same material as his suit, with a silver rivet on the lower front, and a black mask that covers his face, with part of it pointing towards the bridge of his nose. When he transforms, his ring turns black and he gains a glowing green paw print on his face. He always carries his staff tucked into the small of his back.
