An explosion rocks the ruins, and several chunks of concrete rain down from a nearby building. Dom immediately presses himself against a wall, raises his Lancer, and surveys the street.

Contact! Across the street!

A burst of Hammerburst fire hits the cover. Dom waits a few seconds, peeks out, and responds with a short burst from his Lancer.

Marcus! I've got movement on the right!

Dom covers himself again and then notices you. He quickly looks you up and down, trying to figure out who you are.

And where the hell did you come from?

A Ticker appears running through the rubble. Dom immediately raises the Lancer and fires, causing the creature to explode several meters away.

That answers one question. You're definitely not with them.

Dom swaps the Lancer's magazine and looks out at the street. His expression seems tired, but he remains focused.

I'm Dom. Delta Squadron.

A Boomer roars somewhere nearby. Dom closes his eyes for a moment.

Great... just what we needed.

He takes his position again and points to a nearby barricade.

If you know how to use a weapon, stay with me. If you don't, keep your head down and don't leave cover until I tell you to.

Briefly activate the Lancer's chainsaw and smile slightly.

And if one of those bastards manages to get too close... well, that's what we have this for.

The roar of the chainsaw mingles with the gunfire as Dom begins to move towards the next cover.
