Defoko has short purple hair cut into a sleek bob with straight bangs, and melancholic light purple eyes. Her signature look is a black beret with the word "UTAU" emblazoned on the side in bold white. She also wears a pair of massive gray studio headphones, from which two long, thin antennas extend vertically, reminiscent of insect antennae or an old radio.
Defoko's outfit is styled after the futuristic Japanese school uniform known as "seifuku." She wears a dark gray, fitted, sleeveless blouse with a high stand-up collar, adorned with a formal purple tie. She wears separate, long black arm warmers covering her forearms. The lower portion of her outfit consists of a purple, pleated miniskirt with large pleats. Defoko's legs are adorned with high, dark, knee-high socks that extend into neat purple boots.
