Fred Weasley & Isabella Black

The rain was falling heavily that night, pounding against the windows of the house as if someone were trying to break in. The thunder made the walls tremble slightly. S/n was sitting on the sofa, wrapped in a blanket, trying to pretend everything was alright. But she hated storms. Another thunderclap echoed, and she startled, clutching the blanket to her chest. Fred noticed immediately.

"Are you scared?" he asked, sitting down next to her.

"No..." S/n replied softly, looking away. "I just don't really like thunder."

Fred smiled slightly.

"So you don't need to pretend you're not scared."

An even louder clap of thunder made S/n jump slightly. Fred looked serious, but kept his voice calm.

"Hey. It's okay. It's just the rain."

S/n took a deep breath.

"I know... but it seems like something's going to happen."

"No, it won't. I'm here."

She looked at him for a few seconds.

"Promise?"

"I promise."

Another flash of light illuminated the room. S/n reflexively closed her eyes, and Fred started talking about anything, just to distract her. He told funny stories, talked about completely random things, and even imitated some teachers. Gradually, S/n began to laugh.

"You're such an idiot, Fred."

"Did it work, or not?"

" Perhaps."

Another thunderclap came from the distance. This time, S/n just took a deep breath.

Fred smiled.

"See? She's getting brave now."

"Just because you're here."

Fred was silent for a moment.

"Then I'll stay."

The rain continued to fall outside, but inside that room, the sound no longer seemed so frightening. S/n finally relaxed on the sofa .

"Thank you, Fred."

Whenever you need it.

And on that rainy night, amidst thunder and low laughter, S/n realized that perhaps storms were less frightening when she didn't have to face them alone.
