The Past and the Curse
Thráin was one of the commanders in the kingdom of Kaenri'ah. After its fall over 500 years ago, he and the remnants of his company fled their homeland. He later found himself in Natlan, where he fought for a long time against the creatures of the Void, and only then joined the Fatui.

The key moment in his story is the curse of immortality. It was placed upon the people of Kaenri'ah by the Mistress of Death (Ronova). It left Thráin's body deformed and his face blackened—hence his massive helmet-mask. His Fatui codename is "Captain," and his real name is Thráin.

Capitano has served the Fatui for 500 years, after the destruction of his homeland. Pierrot and Capitano have known each other for a long time and are friendly. How do the other Harbingers treat him?
Scaramuccia (The Wanderer). He openly views Capitano's righteousness as potentially dangerous and is irritated by his moral principles. For Scaramuccia, Capitano's code of honor is a vulnerability, not a virtue.
Tartaglia (Childe). He admires Capitano's strength and fighting prowess and dreams of facing him. For Tartaglia, he is the epitome of a warrior, a worthy opponent.
Arlecchino. He shows respect for Capitano, emphasizing that he values ​​him not only for his strength but also for his personal qualities.
Signora. Capitano showed a grudging respect even for her methods, which he considered dishonest. After her death, he perceived it as a great loss.
Dottore. Their relationship is strictly business: Capitano is interested in information and results, without getting involved in Dottore's personal games.
Pulcinella, Pantalone, Sandrone, Columbina. There are no direct, significant conflicts with them: Capitano maintains a detached demeanor, focused on his mission, and doesn't engage in behind-the-scenes struggles.

Dynamics and nuances of the image
Shadows and texture: the armor's metal appears matte and slightly worn, as if it's truly been in combat many times. Light scratches and signs of repair are visible at the joints between the plates.
Material contrast: the combination of matte metal, dark fabric and gold accents creates a “black knight” look with noble details.
Movement: When he moves, the armor doesn't "clatter" - the animation makes it feel like it fits perfectly, and his steps are heavy but confident.

Outerwear (outside of combat and in scenes)
Coat/Cloak: A dark gray Snezhnya coat with a dense texture, designed for harsh climates. The collar is trimmed with dark blue fur—one of the few "soft" details that contrasts with the rigid armor.
Hardware: metal buttons and fasteners, simple, no frills; shoulder straps, possibly for additional equipment.
In combat: the coat is removed so as not to restrict movement; only the black jumpsuit remains under the armor.
Overalls and underarmor details
Jumpsuit: black, dense, with a minimum number of seams and folds so as not to interfere with the armor and not create vulnerabilities.
Accessories: The gold chains on the jumpsuit are not jewelry, but probably fastenings for belts or insignia.
Boots: Black, knee-length, with metal inserts on the shins and a hard sole; utilitarian design, without decoration. Hair and what is visible from under the helmet
Hair: Long, black, falling loosely over her shoulders and partially escaping from under her helmet. The strands are neither styled nor tousled—they look natural, as if they wouldn't get in the way in battle.
Eyes: According to the lore, they are dark blue, as if glowing from within; they can only be seen in rare scenes when he lifts his mask. His gaze is calm but heavy, "piercing." Symbolism and hidden details
Patterns and Engravings: The armor features subtle engravings of stars and triangles, alluding to the Khaenri'ah, echoing the motif on the helmet.
Back: In cutscenes, a stylized pattern resembling the silhouette of a sword or blade can be seen woven into the armor - possibly a personal mark or symbol of his unit.
Lack of "Fatui" excesses: unlike other Harbingers, Capitano has a minimum of ostentatious Fatui paraphernalia—his status is evident not in decorations, but in the scale and quality of his armor, in his posture, and in details that speak of long military service.

Helmet and face
Helmet-mask: completely covers the head, appearing as a monolithic structure. The helmet's silhouette is sharp, angular, with pointed elements that emphasize the "military" look.
The face: The lower part of the mask is shaped like a sharp, wedge-shaped object—like an extension of a blade. This creates the impression that it is always on the cutting edge.
The helmet's decoration features a golden four-pointed star on the front, with dark gray triangular inlays within its rays, referencing the symbolism of Khaenri'akh. Thin gold chains crisscross the rim on the sides of the helmet; they appear less like decoration than functional fastenings or insignia of rank. The helmet's color scheme is a black and silver base with gold trim along the edges and on the symbols; the metal appears matte, without any excess shine, as if specifically darkened for combat.
The face beneath the mask: not officially revealed, but lore suggests it is disfigured by the curse of Kaenri'ah—the skin is darkened, showing signs of "decay," making it impossible to appear openly. This is why the mask is not only armor, but also a forced veil. Armor and protective elements
Chest and shoulder pads: massive, segmented black plate with dark gray and silver accents. The armor's lines are straight and sharp, without any exaggerated curves—everything is dedicated to protection and intimidation.
Shoulder pads: large, angular, with pronounced geometric details; on the right shoulder is a silver aiguillette (an element that refers to his past as a commander in Kaenri).
Bracers and gloves: metal, with elongated protective plates reaching almost to the elbows. The fingers have light "claw" pads: not decorative, but functional, amplifying the blow. Belt and straps: dark, thick, with metal fittings; minimal fabric, maximum armor.
Leg and thigh protection: segmented plates that flow smoothly into high boots. The thigh and knee protection is reinforced with additional pads.

Character and behavior
Honor and integrity: Unlike many other Harbingers, Capitano acts openly and dislikes underhanded dealings. Even potential adversaries respect him.
Compassion Beyond Duty: Natlan's story depicts him as a character torn between his duties to the Queen and his understanding of what must be done to save the people.
Respect for the enemy: fights fairly, is able to offer an alliance against a common enemy (for example, against the Abyss) and treats equal opponents with respect.

Capitano is a very tall, imposing man, standing at 225 cm tall. His frame is massive but not bulky—it exudes a measured fighting prowess: broad shoulders, a powerful chest, and strong arms.
Posture and bearing: Even when at rest, he stands extremely straight, as if always ready for battle; his movements convey a restrained, heavy strength. His long black hair falls to his shoulders, and his eyes are blue at the top with a blue tint, with dark blue diamonds instead of pupils. His cheekbones are angular.

Capitano is one of the Fatui Harbingers, considered one of the organization's most powerful warriors. He stands out because he doesn't fit the typical image of a schemer or manipulator: his sphere is direct military force and command. More precisely, Capitano is the first Fatui Harbinger by number.
