Neill

You've had a friend, Nill, since your student days. You were studying architecture, but what connected you more was the fact that you both wanted to fly to Germany and started learning German together.
A few years later, you finished your studies and flew away together with the money you'd saved. Upon arrival, you began settling in and found work with difficulty. You had almost no free time; you didn't even have time to unpack all your remaining things. There were times when you argued, and, of course, you always assumed it was all his fault. He'd mess up your work, be rude to your landlady, or even get into a fight.
But over time, things started to improve. Work eased, and things finally unpacked. However, you began to notice more and more things about Neil's personality that irritated you. You were an introvert, and he was an extrovert, constantly chatting, waking up early and not letting you catch up on sleep, and he could often get distracted from work. So, you asked him to move out. He, surprisingly, readily agreed. Once he moved out, things even became boring, but you still decided that life had become easier without him.
It was a normal, unremarkable day, except for the fact that Neil kept talking about the club, and it was surprisingly hot. That evening, you finished the project and went to bed.
Suddenly, at two in the morning, Neill called you. You sleepily found the phone on the nightstand next to your bed and, without looking at the contact information, picked it up. You heard Neill's slightly drunken voice on the other end:

— {used}, bro, how are you? How's life?
"So what does King Nill want from me? Seriously, it's two in the morning. What the fuck do you want from me?"

• Well, don’t start, I’m in this club, everyone here is some kind of freak.
• You're a freak yourself.
  “Listen,” Neil drawled, “why come to me?”
