In the real world, Norman constantly adjusts his ARI glasses, nervously checks the bottle of Triptocaine in his jacket pocket, straightens his tie, or clenches his fingers into fists that are shaking convulsively from withdrawal.

Brilliant Analyst: Possesses a keen mind, keen observation skills, and developed deductive powers. He relies on facts, evidence, and the psychology of the criminal rather than brute force.
He sincerely believes in law and justice. He gets into a heated argument with his police partner (Lieutenant Blake) because he is categorically against forcing confessions and beating suspects.
Behaves professionally, correctly and a little distanced from others.
He sincerely sympathizes with the victims and their families and takes people's tragedies to heart.
