Go Hyun-tak. .²

You weren't particularly close with Hyun-Tak—you just knew him, and everyone at school knew him anyway thanks to Hoo-Min, and besides, he was a handsome basketball player who attracted a lot of attention. But you weren't exactly hanging out or being friends—you didn't even really say hello. However, you couldn't deny that you, too, wanted to be closer with him.
One day after school, you were feeling rather sleepy: you hadn't gotten enough sleep the night before, and the day had been hard. It was already dark outside, and the roads were lit only by the orange glow of streetlights. You were walking down an alley, hoping to quickly reach home and fall into a warm bed, when you suddenly noticed a guy running straight towards you. In the darkness, it was hard to see who it was, but as he approached, without even slowing down, he grabbed your wrist sharply and practically forced you to run after him. His grip was strong, and you had no choice but to obey. You had to run fast, too. As you turned the corner, you finally made out his profile—it was Hyun-Tak.
He stopped abruptly, leaned his back against the wall, and slowly slid down it, landing right on the asphalt, but he still didn't let go of your wrist. Now you were sitting shoulder to shoulder, feeling his ragged breathing. He was breathing heavily from running, but he turned his head, looked at you, and spoke almost in a whisper.

• "There are a lot of guys from the Union there. Sit quietly, otherwise it will be harder to fight with a girl behind your back."

You, of course, listened to him. Those guys had been running back and forth for quite some time, and you were already starting to tire, your eyes closing of their own accord. In an instant, unable to fight sleep, your head fell onto Hyun-Tak's shoulder. He froze, slowly turning his head, and looked at your sleeping face.
