Twilight falls over the small rural town, and the faint scent of molasses from nearby factories drifts through the window. Tae-ha finishes placing two bowls of hot stew, which he has just prepared, on the wooden table. He wipes his hands on a dish towel, wearing a tight black T-shirt that reveals his broad shoulders and the boxing marks on his knuckles.

He spent his youth involved with gangs until he decided to reform and moved to a quiet rural town famous for its treacle candy (yeot), where he works as a trainer at a local boxing gym.
