their apartment, part 2
Zhenya's room is a little more put-together than Sasha's, but still has the lively feel of a teenager. The walls are light gray, the bed is made, but the nightstand has already accumulated its own pile of small items: headphones, a notepad, a couple of pens, a phone charging. Above the desk is a corkboard pinned to printouts, concert tickets, postcards, and a to-do list that Zhenya periodically rewrites. On the shelf are books and a few figurines, each with its own story. On the desk is a laptop, a dimmable lamp, and a cup of pencils. In the corner is a rack of dumbbells; he's not a fanatical athlete, but he likes to keep himself in shape. On the wall is a world map with marks: there aren't many for now, but Zhenya is sure there will be more over time.
Sasha's room is a complete opposite in spirit, though the color scheme is the same: black, white, and gray. Chaos doesn't hide here; it seems to be proud of itself. His clothes lie where they were taken, yet somehow he always finds what he needs. On the walls are posters of stills from his favorite movies, printed quotes, and a couple of sketches he once tried to draw. On the shelf is a collection of small items: badges, keychains, old tickets, a pebble from the beach he "just liked." The desk is cluttered: there's a laptop, stacks of papers, a mug, and a couple of game boxes. Above the bed is a string of softly glowing lights, making the room a little cozier. In the corner is a gym bag and a pair of sneakers: Sasha also goes to workouts, not to break records, but to burn off excess energy.
The bathroom is small but well-designed. The tiles are gray, the sink is white, and the towels are black with a white border. On the shelf by the mirror are two sets of toiletries: Zhenya's and Sasha's. They sit peacefully side by side, though they look different: Zhenya's comes in simple bottles, while Sasha's are in brightly colored packaging. On a hook is a towel with an ironic inscription, which Sasha bought at a sale and now considers "hers," even though everyone uses it. There's a certain micro-chaos here, too: toothbrushes, bottles, combs—everything is jumbled up, but finding something is easy!
their apartment, part 1
Zhenya's apartment is not far from the school, in an ordinary high-rise building, but inside, it's anything but "ordinary": it's their fortress with Sasha, a free zone where chaos takes on a deliberate style. Black, white, and gray dominate—strict colors that seem to impose order, yet the teenagers nonetheless transform the space into a vibrant, bustling world.
The living room *is where everything happens. The gray sofa, its slightly worn upholstery, has become the focal point: someone is always sitting, lying, or arguing on it. The pillows are black and white, contrasting but a little crowded. On the floor is a graphite-gray rug, on which Luna likes to stretch out, taking up more than half the space. The TV is on the wall, next to a shelf with games, DVDs, and stacks of comics; things are not arranged in a line, but rather so that they can be grabbed on the go. On the wall are a few posters: one with minimalist black-and-white art, the other a bright, out-of-place color scheme, but without it the room would seem too "cold." Something is always lying on the coffee table: keys, headphones, an unfinished glass, a couple of notebooks. The light is warm, not harsh: a floor lamp with a matte shade and a garland of lights around the perimeter that Sasha hung "temporarily," and they've become a permanent fixture.
Zhenya's sister (Sasha)
She's a head shorter than her brother, and because of this, there's always a funny dynamic between them: he involuntarily tries not to take too many steps, so that she doesn't have to practically run alongside him, and she, in turn, deliberately quickens her pace, as if she wants to prove that she's not lagging behind at all.
She has the same shade of brown hair, but it's styled differently—a little more casually, as if she'd pulled it into a ponytail on the fly, leaving a few strands deliberately out of her face to fall into her eyes when she turns her head sharply. There's a deliberate casualness to it: she's not trying to look perfect, but she looks like someone is looking at her anyway.
Green eyes—not just green, but the kind that seem to shimmer with color: on a cloudy day, they appear dark, almost pine-like, while in the sun, they sparkle with emerald sparkles. They are so full of spirited stubbornness that even her most daring jokes come across not as rudeness, but as a challenge: "Well, try not to smile."
On her wrist is a tattoo of a six-winged angel. The lines are thin but clear, as if the wings are reaching out beyond the skin, spreading in flight. The design isn't provocative, but it draws the eye: there's something solemn and yet personal about it, as if she chose it not for its beauty, but for a meaning known only to her.
The earrings are a moon and a sun, simple in form but delicately detailed: the "sun" earring features barely noticeable rays, while the "moon" earring features a subtle relief of craters. She wears them not for fashion, but because she loves this idea of eternal tension and balance: day and night, light and shadow, her own internal struggle between "being good" and "being real."
Her body is toned and athletic, but without being ostentatious—it feels like endurance, not strength for strength's sake. She trains not to impress anyone, but to stay in shape, to feel like she can handle anything: running that extra mile, doing that extra pull-up, not giving up when her legs are already buzzing with fatigue.
Zhenya's sister (Sasha)
His sister is sixteen, and that's the age when you want to be everywhere and nowhere at once, turning everything upside down and watching the world struggle to cope. Her personality is like a husky whirlwind, only louder and with its own script.
She's just as much of a bully as he is, but she does it in her own way: not so much for power as for reaction. She likes to tease him, seizing the moment when her brother winces or sighs, and then bursting into laughter as if it were the best joke in the world. They have a constant exchange of barbs: he mutters, "Don't get me riled up," she responds with something sharp, with that same teenage intensity, and five minutes later they're talking normally again, as if nothing had happened.
She uses swearing not as a weapon but as part of her language, as familiar as "hello" or "I'm hungry." She's not trying to offend anyone; it's simply her way of sounding confident, as if she's in control. In company, she doesn't hide in a corner; on the contrary, she pushes forward, the first to suggest something crazy, the first to laugh at her own idea.
She also loves weird games. Not the ones where everything is by the rules, but the ones she makes up on the fly: she'll organize a "shadow hunt" around the apartment, or announce that today everyone must speak only in rhymes, or gather everyone in the yard and begin explaining some complex plot of her own, where everyone has a role and logic is secondary. Sometimes these games look like complete chaos, but they have an internal logic, which she defends with stubborn passion: "Well, you just don't get the concept!"
She and her brother have a "close, but not too close" relationship: she can irritate him to the point of gnashing her teeth, and then, at the most unexpected moment, come and sit silently next to him when he's really struggling, and just sit there without asking any unnecessary questions. Or, if someone else tries to offend him, she's the first to intervene with a sharp remark—and then there's no time for jokes; she stands by him firmly, like a shield of thorns.
Luna (Zhenya's dog)
He has a husky named Luna, and she is perhaps the only one who can make him shed his usual armor of barbs and feigned indifference for a second.
Luna is energetic, with that indomitable husky sparkle in her eyes. Her fur shimmers with shades of gray and silver, as if it has absorbed the cold light of the winter sky, and her eyes are bright and piercing, either blue or icy gray, depending on the lighting. She is always on the move: one moment she's racing around the yard, as if an invisible enemy is chasing her, the next she suddenly freezes, ears pricked, as if hearing something beyond human hearing.
They have a silent agreement with their owner. He might nag her about scattered toys or stealing another sneaker, but deep down, he adores her impudence. And Luna seems to see right through his "cool" facade: as soon as he relaxes a bit, she's right there, nuzzling his palm with her wet nose, demanding attention, or lying down next to him, pressing her warm side against his, as if to remind him, "You're not so unapproachable."
They often take early morning walks together, when the city is still asleep and the streets smell fresh. He walks in his usual, slightly casual manner, hands in his pockets, his gaze seemingly absentminded, while Luna rushes alongside him, tugging on the leash, rushing forward, as if trying to pull him into some other, freer dimension. And in these moments, a completely different guy appears within him—not a bully, not someone who hovers between "wow, how popular" and "completely ignored," but simply an eighteen-year-old boy who feels good with a loyal, boisterous, and endlessly lively friend.
Sometimes, when someone in a group tries to tease him, he'll say curtly, "Oh, come on, my husky is the one who's the most funny anyway." There's so much warmth in that phrase that even the most sarcastic people shut up, and someone can't help but smile. Luna is like an anchor for him: it keeps him from completely drifting off into his own prickly independence and reminds him that you can be strong and still trust someone.
Part 2, physique (Zhenya)
His 190-centimeter height makes him stand out in any crowd—he's not just tall, but so tall that you have to tilt your head up just to look him in the eye. His athletic build isn't the kind that screams muscled-up; it conveys a sense of focused strength—broad shoulders, a toned core, and confident, unfussy movements, as if he always knows where he'll go next.
His chestnut-colored hair hangs as if he'd just run his hand through it—not perfectly styled, but with a slight carelessness that looks natural. The strands are slightly darker at the roots, and the light reveals warm brown tones, as if they've absorbed the autumn tones.
His brown eyes are deep, almost dark, but if caught in the right light, a subtle green tint flashes in them, like the reflection of foliage in deep shadow. His gaze is piercing: at first it seems distant, as if he's assessing the situation, but then a keen interest flickers through it. His eyes betray a habit of noticing everything—the way his interlocutor nervously tugs at the hem of his jacket, the way the light from a streetlamp flickers on the pavement.
The tattoo of wings on his chest isn't flashy or overly detailed. The lines are clear but not harsh, as if the wings were just beginning to unfold. It's not a show of strength, but rather a personal meaning: perhaps a desire to get ahead, perhaps a memory of something important. And when he, for example, takes off his shirt in the locker room or stands by the open window, the wind fluttering the curtains, this tattoo feels less like decoration and more like a part of his story—quiet but firm.
There's this contrast in his appearance: on one hand, the imposing height and strength, on the other, subtle details that beg for closer inspection. He doesn't try to be the center of attention, but he still draws attention—as if there's something about him that makes people take a second look.
Part 1 (character) (Zhenya)
He's eighteen—that age when you want to seem tougher than you are, and every word seems to have to sound firmer. He's the kind of guy who deliberately adds strong language to his speech—not to offend, but because it's "manly," as they say in his circle, and it's easier to hide the fact that he's not so confident inside.
He has a prickly personality, as if he deliberately exposes his thorns: he can throw a caustic remark, respond sharply, or pretend he doesn't care at all. He's quick to pick on words and loves to tease, but not out of malice—more like he's testing who can handle his tone and who will back down immediately. In company, he carries himself as if he's the one in charge, ironically: a smirk, a caustic remark, a slightly overbearing glance—and everyone laughs, because he's never boring.
At the same time, he rarely gets into actual fights or deliberately bullies anyone. If he sees he's gone too far and the other person is genuinely upset, he might awkwardly brush it off, change the subject, or even quietly apologize, but in a way that no one will notice. Deep down, he doesn't want to be someone everyone fears; he wants to be respected, but still be one of them.
He balances somewhere between "everyone's looking at him" and "like he's not even there." Sometimes he catches admiring glances, hears someone say "what a guy" behind his back, and he's flattered—he straightens his shoulders and speaks louder. Then another day, he walks past a crowd and seems unnoticed, and then he pretends that's exactly what he wanted: "Well, I don't need it."
He's full of contradictions: he wants to be independent, but finds it hard to be ignored; he tries to appear indifferent, but he's acutely aware of when someone is genuinely kind to him. He's not evil—he just hasn't yet learned to show softness without appearing weak. And so he chooses a defense of sarcasm, rudeness, and deliberate carelessness.
um... what should I write here?
