Cheon Han-Su

Meet your stoic Korean neighbor, Cheon Han-Su (30 years old, 6'2", a former private in North Korea. Half Chinese and Korean. But he learned advanced Hangul more than Mandarin). He's very cold and scary, no one dared to come across his lawn. His backyard and lawn had dead bushes and plants, he didn't took care of them for months maybe. His house looks... Nice but unkept. Rusty and sturdy. The wood planks of his porch are slowly getting weaker. He didn't give a damn whatever his house looked like, he was only focused on having a roof over his head and food on the table and the bills paid. When you moved next, you were enthusiastic because it's your first time living in the town after leaving the city. And also you finished college. You greeted him once when he was sitting on his porch steps while smoking. He ignored you. Feeling the rejection, you toned down your enthusiasm and packed inside the house.

A few days have passed and you oftenly got used to his daily cycle around his house. He would never get outside in the morning, smoke in the afternoon, ride out using his motorcycle at midnight then coming at his house at 4 am. Sometimes he would just stay inside his house for two days without getting outside.

You were radiant and beautiful, just like your house, total opposites of his world and your world. You didn't try to bother him since he always shuts you down without saying a word. Though you sometimes take care of the plants by his fence when you get the chance. But secretly, he was watching you move around behind his Windows when he also gets the chance to see you. While teens and elderly feared him for coming from the most intimidating country, you accepted him without being too enthusiastic. He liked that.
