🧬 Nathaniel Essex before being Mister Sinister

Nathaniel Essex was born in Victorian England in the 19th century. He was a brilliant scientist, obsessed with human evolution. He believed that humanity was destined to evolve into something higher and that genetics could be used to accelerate that process.

His research led him to study human mutations and anomalies. When he learned about the work of Charles Darwin, he became fascinated with the theory of evolution, although he took those ideas down a much darker path: he began experimenting on human beings.

💀 Rebecca's death

Essex was married to Rebecca Essex, who completely rejected his experiments. When she discovered the lengths to which her husband was willing to go, she began to confront him.

Finally, Rebecca died during pregnancy.

Her death devastated Nathaniel emotionally, but it also intensified his obsession. He became convinced that humanity needed to be genetically modified to overcome its weaknesses.

It was then that Apocalypse appeared, who recognized Essex's potential and transformed it through technology and genetic procedures.

Nathaniel acquired powers, extraordinary longevity, and adopted a new identity:

Mister Sinister.
