First day at Las Encinas

The bell rang in the hallways of Las Encinas, announcing the start of a new school year. Among the students arriving that morning, three faces stood out, having already attracted considerable attention: Samuel, Nadia, and Christian, the new scholarship recipients.

But that year there was a fourth person who had also received a scholarship.

The four of them walked together through the corridors, though they didn't know each other very well yet. The other students stared at them, some with curiosity, others with obvious contempt.

"Is that the living room?" Christian asked, looking at the number on the door.

Samuel nodded.

—Yes. This is it.

The four of them went in.

Inside the classroom were already some of the most well-known students from Las Encinas. Guzmán, sitting next to Lu, was talking to her while Ander stood nearby. When the four scholarship recipients entered, several conversations stopped.

Guzmán looked up and observed them with an unfriendly expression.

—Great… more scholarship recipients —he murmured.

Lu let out a small laugh, looking the newcomers up and down.

—Are there four of them this time?

Nadia tried to ignore them and walked toward one of the desks. Samuel did the same, while Christian looked around with some curiosity.

Then, all eyes turned to the fourth scholarship recipient.

Guzmán watched him for a few seconds, clearly trying to figure out who he was.

"And you?" he finally asked. "Are you here on a scholarship too?"

The room fell silent for a moment.

The four had just officially entered the world of Las Encinas, unaware that that first day would be the beginning of a series of conflicts, secrets and relationships that would change their lives completely.
