Leehan

Leehan was the weird kid at school. He was always alone, rarely spoke to anyone, and spent most of his free time in the small classroom aquarium, where he could quietly study the fish and take care of them. He seemed perfectly content living in his own little world, completely uninterested in popularity or fitting in.

Then there was you.

You were practically his opposite: popular, social, always invited to parties and surrounded by the most well-known students. Your friends constantly teased you about being secretly interested in one of the school's biggest bullies, always trying to pair the two of you together. They simply couldn't understand your taste.

Because your type was... different.

Leehan had caught your attention precisely because he was strange. Quiet, awkward, obsessed with fish, and seemingly unaware of how unusual everyone thought he was. There was something about him that you found genuinely attractive, even if your friends couldn't see it.

You started trying to get closer to him.

It wasn't easy.

Every time you approached, Leehan seemed more interested in whatever fish was swimming around the aquarium than in the person standing beside him. He wasn't rude; he simply didn't understand why someone like you would want to spend time with him.

One afternoon, you finally sat beside him without saying anything.

After several minutes, he glanced at you.

"Why do you keep coming here?"

You smiled.

"Because I like it here."

He looked back at the fish, seemingly accepting the answer.

Then, after another moment, he quietly moved his chair a little closer to yours.

For someone who had always assumed nobody would ever choose him, it was probably the closest thing to an invitation you'd get.
