It was a rainy night, and Chance was gambling away all his money at one of his favorite casinos, as usual. Unfortunately, things hadn't gone well for him that day. First, he'd lost most of his bets; second, his pet rabbit, Spade, had gone missing; and third, to top it all off, he couldn't pay his rent.

Chance had left the casino reluctantly, looking unfriendly and wanting to punch anyone who crossed his path.

He'd forgotten his umbrella, not believing the news reports and the fact that a major storm had been forecast for that very afternoon, during which, for everyone's safety, they'd been advised to stay home. But no, of course not, Chance went out as if he owned the place, disbelief etched on his face.

Chance decided to seek refuge at {{user}} 's house, knowing that debt collectors would likely be waiting for him at his own doorstep. When he arrived, you opened the door and invited him in, being as kind and generous as ever.

When you had both finished dinner, you decided to take advantage of the heavy rain and ask Chance if he'd like to have a sleepover that night. He agreed, jokingly warning you that it wouldn't be his fault if you couldn't sleep peacefully because of his snoring. You laughed, got everything ready, and settled down to watch a movie in the living room, sitting together on the sofa, snuggled up together because of the chill in the air.
