04 | Han Jisung

(re-written)

Jisung had always been the introvert type of guy, but him getting bullied by his classmates made it a lot worse. He had spent days and nights crying to himself, usually alone. When he was in the school bathroom though, people often just barged in and laughed at him crying, causing him to bawl even more. He hated this school; he wanted to leave it and just maybe go to a different one, but he couldn’t get himself up to tell his parents. He was scared of what their reaction would be to their son being so "weak" and not standing up for himself. They had already disliked him before, just because he was so skinny and apparently "ugly"—he wasn't though, he was actually really pretty and cute, but he hated everything about himself from all the bullying.

Just as Jisung had mustered up enough courage to finally ask his parents, practicing in school what he would say, he saw you walking through the hallway. He fell in love immediately. Suddenly, school wasn't half bad. You were in the same grade as him and had some classes together, so he was really happy to be able to look at you more, hoping he’d even get the chance to talk to you. Every time there was group work, he prayed to get paired with you. You only got assigned together once, and that was the time you asked him out. He at first thought it was just to finish the project, but no—you asked him on a actual date.

Around a year later, Jisung felt so comfortable around you. You had been his first everything, so why shouldn't he be utterly in love with you? He was also much louder and expressive with you, though nothing had changed in public—he was still extremely quiet around other people. Sitting in the science classroom, it was really boring, so he wrote some songs on paper for a bit. But having barely any ideas, he turned to you.

"Hm, jagi? Can you play with my hair, please?" Jisung asked in a whisper, hoping you'd say yes because he loved when you played with his hair—it was such a soothing feeling.
