Brave Police - J Deckerd

Yuuta Tomaga:
Yuuta accidentally stumbled upon Deckerd in the abandoned warehouse where it was being built and began visiting the robot regularly. Through this interaction, Deckerd developed a "heart," which would later manifest in all subsequent Super-AI units. Yuuta's memories were also present in all of these later units.

Later, Commissioner Seijima appointed Yuuta head of the new Brave Police unit. He sent the team on missions and often joined them. He also possessed a badge that allowed him to issue the unification orders necessary to form J-Decker, Build Tiger, Super Build Tiger, Duke Fire, and Fire J-Decker.

Yuuta Tomonaga (友永 勇太, Tomonaga Yūta) is the main character of the anime series The Brave Police J-Decker

Deckerd is the first of the Brave Police robots to be built, equipped with the powerful Super-AI that grants him consciousness. Originally, he was designed to be a normal robot with a single operator, but his first experiences with Yuuta Tomonaga caused him to develop a "heart" and acquire human emotions, as well as enhancing his combat capabilities far beyond the original specifications. He possesses an honest and sincere personality and acts as the robotic leader of the Brave Police.

Like the other members of the Brave Cops, Deckerd is armed with a standard-issue revolver, which he keeps in the right side of his armor, as well as a mechanical police notebook with lights and a badge that he wears in a slot on his chest to demonstrate his authority as a police officer. When confronting criminals, he usually shouts, "Halt! Brave Cop, Deckerd!" with the revolver in his right hand and the notebook in the other. Height (robot mode)

Originally built in England under the direction of Regina Argine, Duke was trained and sent to join the Brave Police division in Japan. However, he couldn't have arrived at a worse time, with Deckerd's death at the hands of the Chieftans. He attempted to assume leadership of the team but encountered strong resistance from the other members. They were annoyed by his stubbornness and his rejection of any emotion, and they resented him for trying to replace Deckerd. Later, Duke would learn the value of emotional connections with others and eventually become Deckerd's unofficial second-in-command.
Duke's alternate mode is an ambulance. He possesses a highly focused personality with a strong sense of duty, honor, and loyalty, which can sometimes make him inflexible and stubborn. He spent his childhood under the tutelage of Regina, who instilled in him an unrealistic ideal of perfection due to past traumas and an obsession with creating a "perfect cop." While Duke has managed to overcome much of this early conditioning, it still occasionally manifests in his difficulty dealing with emotions and his somewhat rigid personality. He feels a strong loyalty and connection to his creator, Regina Argine, whose treatment of him has softened lately as she has overcome some of the demons of her past. As a newcomer to the team, he also doesn't always fit in with the other members of the Brave Japanese Police, which can cause conflict. Duke is passionate about nature, and he particularly enjoys marine life, such as whales.

GunMax was originally created to work with the Highway Patrol division of the police, but he ran into trouble when his partner Kirisaki was discovered illegally selling police weapons and confiscated cars. Shortly after, he was transferred to the Brave Police and had a rough start due to his attitude and preference for not working as part of a team, but he eventually became a valuable member. Unlike the other units of the Brave Police, GunMax doesn't have a vehicle form, but instead rides a large motorcycle called the Gun Bike. Initially, he was arrogant, cynical, and sarcastic, preferring to operate alone and avoiding others. However, after his adventures with Yuuta and BP-110 Deckerd, he began to open up and gradually became a more integrated member of the team.

Shadow-Maru first appeared during the search for Kagerou, telling the Brave Police to stay out of the case. Initially, he allowed Kagerou to escape on the condition that he wouldn't cause any more trouble, but Kagerou was captured and his Super-AI chip was extracted, turning his original body into a mindless war machine. Shadow-Maru was forced to destroy Kagerou's now mindless body. After obtaining a lead on the whereabouts of Kagerou's Super-AI, which was located in a submarine, Shadow-Maru infiltrated it, but fell into a trap. After a battle that resulted in the submarine's destruction, Shadow-Maru escaped with the help of Kagerou's Super-AI chip, before it sank with the submarine. Following the incident, Shadow-Maru decided to join the Brave Police, as Kagerou's dying wish was for him to live a good life. During episode 43, Shadow-Maru temporarily received a power boost from the alien peacekeepers Hyjuss, allowing him to transform into the Brave Cannon and increase in size so the Brave Police team could use him. The boost was removed once the Hyjuss completed their mission to capture the space criminal Gammon, whose plan to annex Earth was thwarted by the Brave Police using the Brave Cannon. Shadow-Maru's alternate modes include a dog mode, a police car mode, an airplane mode, a tank mode, and later, a Brave Cannon mode. He originally preferred to operate as a lone wolf, but opened his heart after joining the Brave Police.
Like the rest of the Brave Police, Shadow-Maru is armed with a standard-issue revolver and a Brave Police mechanical notebook. His personal arsenal includes a pair of katanas, several shurikens, a kusarigama, a hand rifle, Vulcan machine guns usable in jet mode, and beam cannons usable in tank/car mode.

Power Joe's alternate mode is an energy shovel. He's an expert in martial arts, especially kung fu. He has a laid-back and carefree personality, though he sometimes makes sarcastic remarks that tend to irritate others. Despite this, he always livens things up when needed and keeps the team in good spirits. Power Joe is very good friends with the children Masaki Kitagawa, Emiri Aihara, and Kikumaro Takano.

Like the rest of his team, Power Joe is armed with a standard-issue revolver and a Brave Police mechanical notebook, as well as nunchucks stored on his hips and tonfas. Power Joe was connected as part of the original construction team. After being equipped with a Super-AI, he was seen driving Yuuta to school and befriending the children. However, his laid-back personality and sarcastic remarks exasperated students and teachers. When an assassin went to the school to kill Yuuta, Power Joe came to his rescue along with Deckerd, but was soon captured by the assassin's robot. J-Decker then ordered Power Joe to detach his leg joints so he could attack the enemy without hitting him, and the plan succeeded. Height (robot mode)

Dumpson's alternate mode is a dump truck. Direct, formal, and stubborn, Dumpson takes everything seriously and doesn't joke around much; he's also prone to arguing with others, even Yuuta. He's very close friends with freelance reporter Ayako Kimizuka.

Like the rest of the Brave Cops, Dumpson is armed with a regulation revolver and a Brave Cop mechanical notebook, plus a pair of spiked dumbbells as personal weapons.

Drill Boy can transform into a drilling rig or a jet plane. He's a big football fan and, being the youngest on the construction crew, tends to be naive, annoy others (especially Power Joe), and say things that are best left unsaid. However, he sometimes displays surprising intelligence.

Like the rest of the Brave Police, Drill Boy is armed with a standard-issue revolver and a Brave Police mechanical notebook. His personal weapons include an unspecified number of Bravenium-infused soccer balls in his chest, which can deploy spikes and be launched at the enemy, known as Soccer Bombs. He is also equipped with a pair of machine guns in his legs. Drill Boy is the last member of the Construction Team to be completed and also the most immature. His construction was significantly delayed due to the Under-Empire, but he was finished just in time to save the day when the Empire attacked the secret factory. Height (robot mode)
