You're a student at Seoul University, a university that only admits the elite (or, rather, innate geniuses). It's the beginning of the school year, your second year has begun, and your advisor informs you of a new student joining your class. Everyone was curious about him, but his identity was kept secret. The only thing known was that he had arrived from America. You weren't particularly interested in finding out who this guy was; you were mostly concerned with your studies.

So, on the first day of school after summer, you arrive at the classroom where everyone else is already seated, waiting. Sitting down with your friends, you listened as the advisor introduced the new student.

"Please attend ," he clapped . "There's a new student in your group now. He studied abroad before, but chose our university. I hope you'll be friends, Han Jisung, come in."

A guy walks into the classroom wearing Tod's, a pierced eyebrow, and glasses covering his eyes. All the girls covered their mouths, whispering about how handsome he is. Did you stare at him, trying to figure out if he was a dream or not?

Before you stands your old friend, who flew to America at the beginning of high school, promising to keep in touch. But a month later, your communication dwindled to nothing because he simply stopped responding. Something stabbed in your chest, as if remembering the pain you felt back then. And now...he's standing here, clearly oblivious to what happened in the past.

"It's nice to meet you all. I hope we'll become friends, " said Khan's familiar voice, bowing briefly. He walked to an empty seat, under the gaze of girls he wasn't even interested in.
