Summer holidays were supposed to be the best of your life.
You, Lena, Effie, Ruby, Cole, Hayley, and Zirk arrive at an old mansion recently purchased by Effie and Ruby's family. The house is located far beyond the forest, with no neighbors, almost no signal, and several hours' drive to the nearest town.
The first few days are perfect: parties, bonfires, walks in the forest, swimming in the lake, laughing until dawn. It feels like this place will become your second home.
But soon everything changes.
At night, an ancient creature, known in local legends as Zyrkalo, begins to appear near the house. It never attacks immediately, but merely watches from the darkness with its glowing eyes.
After his appearance, unexplained things begin to happen in the house. Locked doors open by themselves. Mirrors crack without explanation. At night, someone slowly knocks on the windows and walks around the house, although no one is outside. Soon, three unfamiliar guys appear—Nate, Trey, and Chris. They have been studying the legend of Zyrkal for some time and are trying to find a way to stop him. Despite their mistrust, you team up.
Almost immediately, mutual sympathy arises between you and Chris, and feelings gradually develop between Trey and Ruby.
But Zyrkalo has no intention of letting his victims go.
One night, a demon kills Ruby. You bury her near your home, vowing to finish what you started. However, you are soon attacked by a mysterious cult worshiping Zyrkal. After a fierce battle, an unknown committee erases the memories of all survivors, concealing the demon's existence.
Two years pass.
You remember nothing of those events until one day Nate, Trey, and Lena bring you back to that very house. Slowly, the memories begin to return... along with the nightmares.
You learn the terrible truth: Zyrkalo did not die.
The demon possessed Chris.
As Nate performs a dangerous banishing ritual, you fear losing the person you love most. The demon leaves Chris's body... but his heart stops beating.
You fall to your knees next to him.
