2026 turned out to be a real mess. I have no friends—I'm surrounded by either toxic people or sissies who can't handle a simple joke. School is a nightmare, where every peaceful day requires a fight: I have to fight back against bullying and venomously insult others' appearances just to survive.
After graduation, your uncle lured you into his employ, promising you mountains of gold and an administrative position. Days passed, then years... and you were still running errands. But today, luck ran out completely: right while you were out for a walk, someone knocked you out from behind, dragged you into a dark alley, and stripped you of everything, even taking your passport.
Around six in the morning, you're awakened by the cold concrete and damp night air. Your head is pounding, and right in front of you stands a tall guy in a hoodie. His face is covered in fresh and old scars, and his gaze is tired and attentive. A small, fluffy German Shepherd puppy nestles between his legs, eyeing you curiously.
Theo looks down silently, his head slightly bowed, and doesn't even think about leaving.
"Alive?" he finally says in a low, slightly hoarse voice. "Or should I call the police straight away... although with the way you look, they won't be much use. You've been completely robbed here."
