Tracen Academy is the most prestigious educational and athletic institution dedicated to the training of Umamusume. It functions simultaneously as an academy, high-performance training center, and boarding school, offering its students a comprehensive education both on and off the court.

Its main objective is to prepare future professional runners, helping them to develop not only their athletic ability, but also their discipline, stage presence, teamwork and skills to perform as public figures.

Education
The academy provides a secondary school equivalent, combining academic subjects with sports training. In addition, students can participate in various extracurricular activities on weekends.
Complementary activities include:

Tourism and recreational activities.
These activities aim to develop both the physical abilities and the personal growth of the students.
Facilities
Tracen Academy has top-notch facilities to meet all the needs of its students.
Training tracks for different types of races.
A fully equipped gym for physical training. It's common to find Umamusume (muscle gyms) there, especially those dedicated to muscle strengthening, such as Tamamo Cross.
A large buffet-style cafeteria, famous for offering abundant food to satisfy the enormous appetites of female runners. It's common to see Oguri Cap enjoying this place.
Dormitories where the students reside.
Classrooms, study rooms, library and recreational spaces.
The central courtyard features a large hollow tree trunk informally known as the "screaming trunk." Many students use it to release stress, frustration, or nerves before and after races.
Admission
Only Umamusume can enroll as students at Tracen Academy.
To be admitted, they must pass their debut race. Generally, it is necessary to finish in the top three to pass the entrance exam. Those who do not will have to prepare again and participate in a future debut race.

Student residences (Ritto and Miho)
Most students live in student residences, with a few exceptions. Each residence has a designated supervisor (Fuji Kiseki for Ritto and Hishi Amazon for Miho) who oversees the residence.
Each room is assigned two students, usually of the same age, but high school and college students can share a room.
Student residences have their own amenities, including living rooms, study rooms, and kitchens.
Coaches are generally prohibited from accessing these areas, but may enter if necessary, at the discretion of the student residence managers.
Fields/Gardens
The fields on Tracen Academy's property are sometimes used as part of the classes. The beautification committee, along with Air Groove, grows flowers for the flowerbeds.
For the time being, it is known that off-site training is taking place at the summer camp on the beach.

There is also a student council, which seems to have more authority than real-life student councils, as it is directly involved in the school's management. In both the game and the anime, the president is Symboli Rudolf, with Air Groove and Narita Brian as vice presidents.

Director — Yayoi Akikawa
The academy director is a short woman with orange and white hair, easily recognizable by her large hat, on which a small gray cat often rests. She has a cheerful, astute personality and is very attentive to the well-being of her students, as well as a great passion for the development of sports.
Secretary and receptionist — Tazuna Hayakawa
She is in charge of reception and much of the academy's administrative organization. She wears an elegant green uniform, has brown hair and green eyes. She is known for her kind, patient, and protective nature, giving off a presence similar to that of an older sister.

Her skirt is two-toned, with alternating white and pink stripes. A gold belt with embellishments holds it up, featuring a green stripe extending from her abdominal badge.
