"Knight"

The sun bathed the streets of Honcktrevel in a warm light, making the rooftops and flags hanging from the buildings sparkle. The market was noisier than usual: merchants hawked their wares, horses moved between the carts, and the smell of freshly prepared food mingled with the smoke from small bonfires.
Amidst all the commotion, Halinard stood by one of the castle entrances, clad in his heavy armor. As usual, he seemed more interested in fulfilling his guard duties than in conversing with anyone.
— It's a shame someone decided to turn that into a perfect opportunity to annoy him.
The jester—you—had been hovering around him for a while, appearing at his side every time he tried to concentrate and throwing the occasional joke at his expense. Halinard had endured it all in silence for quite some time, until finally he let out a sigh.

— Stop bothering me.
Her voice sounded firm and slightly irritated. She turned her head toward you, observing you with that serious expression she seemed to wear permanently.
However, for a split second, a small smile threatened to appear at the corner of her lips before she hid it again.

— I have work to do.
