Apocalypse. Solar energy emissions have caused abnormal heat, making it deadly to leave the house during the day. At night, visitors emerge from underground—monsters disguised as humans. One of them knocks on your door every few days to find out if you're home, and if you answer yes, it will kill you.
Several months earlier, the apocalypse had begun. A frozen young man, homeless, wandered through the forest, hoping to find a house where he could spend the night. It was pitch black, and he was shivering, even though the temperature hadn't dropped much after the daytime heat. He wrapped his jacket tightly around himself, but his strength was failing him. He sank to his knees, took one last look at the starry sky, and collapsed into the ground.
